When will players dream of playing for Chelsea? 3 more EPLs and a CL trophy? Teams like Real, Barca, and Man Utd only need to declare interest in players and the rest takes care of itself. I am frustrated by great talent coming so close to joining us, just to slip through our fingers at the last moment, and any popular player requires months worth of negotiations. Barca sign Villa in a matter of days. Real singed Ronaldo in a matter of days. Man Utd singed.. well... nevermind.. You guys get my point, right?

These teams have been winning countless amounts of trophies for years, we haven't. Simple as that. Although we are now getting a lot of players saying that they would love to join Chelsea and are mentioning us with the likes of these top clubs. I think if we really wanted to sign someone we will. Neymar wants to join Chelsea to become the best player in the world. These things just take time.

Barca and Real work in very different ways, and more often than not, they are not good ways but get away with it. Real signed Ronaldo in a matter of days? They spent over a year getting that deal done. They work away at the big deals over time and convince the player to sign for them first and then get the player to pretty much force a move, leaving the selling club little option.

We have seen that we are one of the most attractive clubs to sign for along with Barca, Real and Man Utd. At things stand Spain are going to be a more attractive option mainly because of the tax in this country and the difference in Spain.

Also who have we actually missed out on? Was we ever in for Ozil? Was we ever in for Villa? ect.... the only deal that really went wrong for us was Robinho, and those circumstances were completely different.

First and foremost, we have to be crowned Champions of Europe once in our history, that will do nicely for now.

The rest will come with time - we need to show that relatively young players have a chance here, for example now with Sturridge and Ramires. We've shown that a couple of years back with Robben, Lamps and Duff etc but people seem to forget it...

Giving chances to capable young players will send a good message to other young talents around the globe. And if Carlo stays for long then his brand of football will definitely attract others. It seems that chelsea's physical football in the past did not won many hearts. And yes We need to conquer Europe. However, Chelsea is not expected to do the business like real madrid or barca does and i am extremely happy for that.

I get your point, but it's not something we have to change immediately. It's more like winning the CL and bringing through youth players.

Stamford Bridge is gaining some kind of legendary status cause of the things that have happened here. I don't want to bring them all up but the Bridge's certainly not the point players refuse to come here.

Yeah I agree, it's all about the youth development at the moment, Chelsea pundits, and people on the sunday supplement have been bragging for months that our squad is stale and old, and we need to freshen it up with some promising young talent, which, I have to say, we have been doing a good job. Once we have that sorted, then maybe invest in a new stadium.

It's why, regardless of how they're doing today, they're still considered a big, prestigious club. When you ask someone "name the 5 biggest clubs in the world?", 90% of the time you'll get:

1. Real Madrid
2. Manchester United
3. Barcelona
4. AC Milan
5. Liverpool

These same clubs are also 5 of the most known clubs in the WORLD. Asia, Africa, America ect, they don't have as high of a football following as Europe does but they ALL know these clubs are big.

Chelsea are in a period where we're writing a history that in 10/20years will see us in that list of "Big Clubs". We've just completed our first domestic double, to win the UEFA Champions League this year would go a big way to this "status".

We also need to work tremendously on our youth system too. I know we have a good one now, but in comparison to clubs like Barcelona & Manchester United we severely lack that player that everyone knows.

• Barcelona = Iniesta, Xavi & Messi
• Manchester United = Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo (yes he counts!)
• Liverpool = Gerrard, Torres (they did find him, and turn him into one of the best strikers in the game [when fit]), Reina

And so you get the point here. We need to find these young, good players and integrate them into our squad. We need players like Kakuta and McEachran to get into the first team squad and announce themselves to the world that "Yes, we came from the Chelsea academy and are now the best in the world"
