Rmpr 8,977
I think in different countries, you'll have different options for eg - India there's no Language to get into University.(few have English but very few)No Geography, History or any of the social sciences. Just Physics/Chem/Math and 1 more subject of your choice - Bio/Stats/Econ/Arts/Comp and so on...Good for you and whoever more that only have to study basic stuff + the subjects you choose. In Brazil, you need to take all classes and they go very deep in it (even if you want to take a biology in University, you will have to learn logarithm and how to integrate, for instance). This counts for every subject (geography, history, chemistry, etc). I was accepted in Mechanical Engineering and even then I had botanic classes like this one when I was in high school. Totally useless!I know that, next year i'll have to pass it, but my point is a board like this, you'll need some hours of work I know, that is why it is so amazing. Her teacher did it in 50min while explaining it. I would take 50min only to draw the first circle, lmao... Heisenberg
BluesChick 1,260
It counts if it makes you interested chemistry is so much more than what they teach in school and so much more interesting.@Dion: I am tutoring a young man for his iGCSE chem exam so I very quick to pick up the little mistakes because each one can gain him a mark back if he doesn't make them.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Yeah at school, the periodic table etc, just got extremely boring.A good teacher in chemistry makes all the difference! Ankit 3,176
I had to resist the urge to correct your equation! I am a Chem Eng and a teacher so everything about your post made me sad because a good teacher wouldn't have left you struggling like that!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDAh, well i wouldn't blame my teacher. I never really gave her good marks, hence she probably gave more importance to the guys who actually gave her better marks. I guess, Chemistry wasn't meant for me! I have seen a lot of people complain about History being boring or Mathematics being difficult, similarly Chemistry was that one subject i never could get into my head. Mind you, i worked the hardest in Chemistry and yet couldn't understand the concept of covalent bond, organic reactions etc.

I hated chemistry in high school because my teacher was an idiot but I loved the little bits of chemistry I studied in university. Why does Ronaldo have a Batman Mobile?! Rmpr 8,977
Hehe. But here, all the useless stuff is there in 1st year of Engineering lol. Other way aroundWhich is way better, because you already selected the group of people you are teaching to. When you are in high school, there are every sort of people with every sort of tastes, there is no need to teach 'in depth' math subjects to future designers and biologists or to teach advanced botanic to future engineerings (for instance). This shit is just to make Brazilian education ranking rise in the international polls. It is not about the amount of stuff you teach and rather the quality in which you do it. It doesnt help to put enormous amounts of topics to study if you dont provide decent professionals and infra-structure for the students to learn. Fucking ridiculous! I don't see the point in exploring topics in-depth in highschool. Wide range of students, different aims/dreams etc. And mostly, Highschool is supposed to be the fun part of education

However, I get upset when I hear people have cool classes that they can choose in high school, while I was having all that boring useless stuff.Apart from that, I fucking loved high school. I miss the parties, sports events, girls, the gossip (lol), etc. It was fun!

I have/had nerdy frends and popular ones...That is very weird mate, sports fans are the cool kids in general. Those people who are ussally lost during PE or the people who are very very shy and dont talk are the ignored ones. Of course it isnt so far part, there are tons of people who are a mix of everything, but you get the idea. At least in Brazil!
