Good call. Cats are a lot of fun. Go to an animal shelter and you can pick one up for cheap. I would actually advise getting two. Two is not really more work than one and they keep each other company when you're out and chase each other and that sort of thing. Cats on catnip is one of the best things ever.

I'm just watching some YouTube videos on them now. In stitches

Dogs and cats are pointless. Why would you want one? Just cost needless money for them to roam around your house so you can clean up after them and then they eventually die and you're sad and get a new one which cost even more money.

Just don't see the point.

I'll andwer when I get back from work :-)

Ps: I am out of likes so couldnt like your post, sorry causeitis good!

Ps2: never said I was a psych:-) I graduated in philosophy actually but did and do my phd research in the crossvsevtion of philosophy and psychology. So yeah, I love that shit :-)

No idea why I thought you had said you're a psychologist. Your phd subject is so awesome! I admit, I'm jealous. Majoring in philosophy is a dream of mine, but I had to do something "practical"

I await your reply, but I feel I'm at a disadvantage in this discussion. You're a professor and I'm just an amateur who's read a few philosophy books! Take it easy on me Sting

It all depends. If you're an active person with a proper sized home for a dog, get a dog. They are great and loyal. But only take an animal if you're willing to put in the work and feed him, play with him. Animal won't be a side hobby, it will be a huge a part of your life. That's what makes it all so great. I love how sincere animals are, if they are angry, you will get bitten but never back-stabbed.

I own a cat, took her from the shelter and it has been like winning a jackpot. Golden character, she is very playful, affectionate and follows me around everywhere. Best part about him is that she isn't a easily scared cat, so she doesn't hide under the table etc. Only bad thing about her is that she is too brave. When, for example, I get into a fight with my brother, she attacks him aswell. :D

Don't take an animal, because it is cute and cuddly, take it for the right reasons. There are enough animals being killed because idiots and spoiled prats want to play home. Like I said, if you know how to look, shelters are a great place for a friend for life. Animals that come out of shelters KNOW you saved them, believe me.

Dogs are like a friend: fun to play with and extremely loyal. Cats are like getting a girlfriend: they want your attention in every minute, get incredibly jealous (I used to have cat that would get jealous whenever I put my laptop on my lap! ) but will forget about you when they meet a guy with a bigger bowl of milk!

Just like kids, except kids can knock you one in the jaw when they get older and know better.

Very true. My dogs will go and sit outside if you walk into the garden protecting you lol. And would do anything for you. My cat was 16 and died a few weeks ago. :( She used to hate my laptop and walk all over it. I would wake up with her on my head and all sorts lol...

unless your kid makes something of themselves and makes you rich...animals don't do that

If someone has kids with the intention of them making their parents rich in the future, then that's just immoral. The parents have lived a poor life and have made nothing out of THEMSELVES and expect the child to carry them. Only cowards to that, who are afraid of hardship and lack determination and willingness to work hard for their own dreams and success.

They also don't give the same love and affection as dogs do. If someone starts feeding your cat nicer food, it's no longer your cat. Evil animals. I hate them.

This made me laugh so hard.
