Had to write a mediation in English class today about bizarre and dangerous initial rites to join students clubs. In Germany, being a student is also going hand and hand with drinking a lot of beer, but what I've read in the article today was somewhere between hilarious and disgusting. Specifics like #10, targetman, deep lying playmaker, ball playing centre half.

creative - I hate this with passion sometimes. The times when people debate the bullshit about players like Modric v Mata in the creativity department. Different players in different positions. Get over it.

Overrated (I know it's not exclusive to football but football fans seem very fond of this word)

The next 'Pele' or whatever player. This is especially bad when used like this: The next Cristiano Ronaldo. He is still playing...

Some of the threads are really painful to read through, with people posting stuff like 'LOOOL' and posting clown emoticons. Why can't we argue in a more civilized manner? The arguments would actually be interesting if only they were presented better, rather than automatically assuming the other person is an idiot. Also the abuse that the likes of Sam get is ridiculous IMO. He is just stating his opinion and people call for him to be banned FFS. These are the same people who simply cannot accept that their opinion =/= fact.

Sigh. I kind of regret 'returning' to the forum during the off season, lol. Too much clutter everywhere.

It's because during the season, we get abuse from the media other fans etc, so its an us against them mentality. In the off season everyone gets bored so starts having a go at each other.
