Because as I said I'm not blind. I just have slightly dodgy long distance vision. I don't need to wear them 24/7 only when I'm looking at things from a distance.

I an nearsighted as well and yes that extra bit is amazing especially when driving! Mine is bad now, I need them foe good definition of anything past a meter or two. Transition lenses change automatically to sunglasses in UV they are amazing.

I'm looking forward to being able to walk into a cafe and read the behind the counter menu. Sick and tired of getting a coffee and learning how much it cost when I pay for it.

I completely understand! I have contacts that I can wear for several days and I love the fact I can see the alarm clock in the morning is enough to make my day... With out them I need to be about six inches from the damn clock! Forget trying to order something!

So yesterday... I was in the library (I know WTF was I doing in a library ) and some old guy like 80 came in and was on one of the computers. He logged on, and went straight on to flirt box. Some dating site lol. And he was window shopping, finding the fittest women from their profile pics (all around 20/30)...Then he was emailing all of them, saying "thinking of you darling". Then writing a paragraph (probably along the lines of send me more pics lol)...

I couldn't stop laughing at how casual he was doing it lol.
