Those complaining about the heat are welcome to join me in Finland anytime from October to March when the temperature rarely goes higher than -15 degrees celsius and more often than not it's even lower than -25C. There's always snow up to my balls and the ground is slippery as fuck because of the ice. The sun doesn't bother showing up for months and every day it gets dark as night from 2 pm, not that there's ever any proper light during the winter even when it's supposed to be daytime. Oh what I wouldn't give to move the fuck away from here in a heartbeat.

Starting my compulsory military service tomorrow. Little excited about it, but also little pissed off. Don't know what to expect. It's a sure thing that my time here will be reduced for a long period, but I'm more of a lurker anyway so you're not gonna miss me a lot. I will miss this forum, though.

Also, why does Finland need to conscript its citizens? It's hardly a warlike country/a target for invasion. I suppose the authorities still think the USSR will reform and re invade Finland
