Atwa 78
Most frustrating thing ever to see him being played on the wing again and again.I love the guy, he is a great player.. but he is used so wrong by RDM.

Beigl 1,387
He plays very bad at the wing in recent games,i would rather see Moses on the right, and look how Ramires does in the defensive midfield.
termninja 5,290
I feel Ramires would do a decent job in the defensive midfield if we have people around him ready to receive a pass when he is under pressure. When it comes to defending, he would help a lot. BUT, when deployed in the DM his forward runs are really restricted. If he bangs on forward, he will leave only 1 DM behind and if we lose the ball it could get really dangerous.I'm not a fan of him on the right wing, but when there is space he is good to have and let's not forget that he helps in our defense also.Best position for him is for sure in the central midfield in 4-3-3 where he has freedom. Shame because he is a great player, but just not really suited for 4-2-3-1. Bosnian Blue and TorontoChelsea
Jase 43,479
Ramires is only useful out wide when we are playing on the counter and there is space for him to run into. In games where we look to dominate and attack and teams sitting back, he is just useless there. Doesn't have the skills and trickery to beat his man and it gets even worse that he can't put in good quality crosses!
Land 331
Ramires will play in the double pivot tomorrow.Lets all pray that RDM will be watching
Kojo 4,676
I would love for him to go back into that more defensive role what we had, even under AVB in that 4-3-3.AVB sort of played him as a DM in that 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last season, he was class there, was making great tackles and getting about all over. CHOULO19 24,332
Honestly I can't see a future for Rambo here at the club if we continue to play 4-2-3-1 unfortunately.
Popular Post! nadavTKL 1,787 Posted September 8, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted September 8, 2012 Im absolutely sure that now when Meireles is gone, we need to play:-----------Mikel-------------Ramires----------------------------------Oscar------This will get the best out of Ramires and Oscar and its probably the best midfield we could have. Now im just hoping RDM saw it too and thats the reason he allowed the departure of Meireles. Amblève., Tomo, Rmpr and 3 others

Rubber bullets 1,183
Its painful to see him wasted on the wing. I'm sure when he plays for Brazil he is put in a CDM position. He is a very good player RDM, use him properly. Milan
Ollie 4,400
Would you guys prefer to see Ramires in a double pivot or in a midfield 3? Lampard (Mikel) - Ramires Or Lampard - Mikel - Ramires

Jype 6,398
Would you guys prefer to see Ramires in a double pivot or in a midfield 3?Lampard (Mikel) - RamiresOrLampard - Mikel - RamiresA midfield three consisting of Oscar - Mikel - Ramires could be great once Oscar gets more comfortable playing in the Premier League but for now Lampard - Mikel - Ramires is pretty much our best midfield combination. 4-3-3 with those three in midfield and Hazard & Mata constantly alternating positions on the wings could be decent. I don't think a double pivot of Lampard - Ramires would work all that good as both of them like to get forward a lot and that would leave holes in the midfield too often, but Mikel - Ramires would definitely be worth a try sometime if we're sticking with the 4-2-3-1. Ollie 4,400
So we're all in agreement to ditch the 4-2-3-1 and put Rami back where he belongs and bring back the real Chelsea which is 4-3-3 standard! SeB

CHOULO19 24,332
Formation solved.Does it make that much of a difference? The Christmas tree formation is slightly more defensive than the 4-2-3-1 with the extra CM, but on the attack one of the three CMs will advance more turning it back to 4-2-3-1. It's main weakness is that it lacks width since we will be playing Mata and Hazard as the two behind the striker.

Mikel in the lone anchor, Ramires as a box to box, Lampard/Oscar as attacking mid and Hazard and Mata roaming with slightly more protection behind them. We end up playing narrow with both Hazard and Mata on the pitch anyway because they naturally drift inwards so we lack width anyway. We'd keep the ball better (hopefully) without being overrun in midfield. It just makes sense. To me, anyway.CechIvan - Cahill - JT - ColeMikelRamires - LampardMata - HazardTorres Jype and Peace.
