Great at what he does, but going forward he's fucking useless. He's slower than a snail at getting his pass away as well. Good ball retention and a strong tackler, but he doesn't have the same thrust from midfield like Ballack and Essien, which we NEED.

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic. There is NO WAY we're going to go to Anfield and beat them by three or four. They're a good side with good players who have had a shit season. They have nothing to play for. So why am I worried? Because they're going to want to prove a point. They're better now than they were in late 2009 and they beat United at home 2-0. They've won 11 of their last 12 at Anfield and drawn only one. That's how difficult the task will be.

Mikel is not fast enough with his passing. And when he is, its hardly ever constructive. He passes sideways and backwards, its as if he's devoid of any attacking nous.

We're going to have to agree to disagree. Personally I think Mikel is fucking useless going forward, and we're better and faster when attacking when he doesn't play. He has his qualities, but attack is definitely not one of them.

Mikel passes the ball forward too, he has made some really good long passes this season. The reason why he plays so many sideways passes is because he is being told too by the coaching staff. Watch him for nigeria he plays the more daring passes, mikel is a quality player get off his back !

Even though Kalou scored a hatrick, I think we should keep Malouda in Left midfield and put Zhirkov on the wing, his pace may rip through a tired Liverpool defense if he plays like he did against Bolton.

Mikel is beast! Get off him! He's been doing well this season and he's improving every day. When Essien comes back, I hope we see him with Mikel and Lampard, this'll be great!

I've never liked Mikel. He's too much of a 'lazy player' for me, with the way he slows the game down. And the difference between Mikel and Makelele was that Makelele could take on an attacker one on one, slow them down and get the ball back.

Maybe I'll change my opinion of him if he scores the winning goal in the cup final, but until then, he's just a poor man's Essien in my eyes.
