FatFranks'sBakery 0
He's interviewed in this week's ShortList - http://www.shortlist.com/sport/article/the-salomon-kalou-interview/1He talks about how he would have 20 goals to his name this season if he had more playing time. Is this the case? Because it does seem he constantly provides the goods as a sub (usually when the game's already won, mind)
.Cee 50
What sort of user name is "FatFrank'sBakery"?
Rubber bullets 1,183
As a winger he certainly does have the pace, but he tries to much to be a striker, which is a problem because he can't seem to shoot at goal, yes he does have a knack of scoring important goals but only as a sub, when put on the starting line-up he is really more of a liability, going in pointless runs and panicking when he tries to get a goal.Jesper Grønkjær was more consistent then him. FatFranks'sBakery 0
Kalou can't play on the wing, all wing play was lost when Ranieri left and Jose bought every central midfielder he could. Another reason why Robben and Duff couldn't succeed. But I do agree that I don't really see him as a striker either, as with the squad as it is, he doesn't really have a role. BTW: FatFrank'sBakery is semi-ironic in an an affectionate way!
Randall 315
Kalou isn't good enough for Chelsea.
Kostas 1,468
Underrated?NoUseless is the word I'd use.Yes I know I'm harsh but the boy disappoints me more frequently than Ballack Edited April 15, 2010 by Kostas
FatFranks'sBakery 0
At least he still has legs unlike Ballack
Term-X 7,891
what makes it even worse is that he takes potential playing time from the likes of kakuta.
Steve 10,227
I think alot of people are very harsh on Kalou. I think in most games this season he has played well. That said he does waist some chances, but his passing has improved alot and he does not run into players as much as he used to. I think he is a good impact sub. .Cee 50
Kalou isn't good enough for Chelsea. He's more than good enough as a super sub. No player of better quality than him would be willing to sit on the bench and plays only now and then.
warnie_666 1,081
Our Best Impact Player. I repeat...Best IMPACT Player!!!
EskWeston 696
Very good impact player, but from the start of a game doesn't produce what we would want. Incredibly frustrating player to watch at times. Again like with the Belletti thread i can think of a few players i would rather use an impact winger sub rather than Kalou because we could be building them to become great like Kakuta, Stoch, Sala or Tore...... Kalou isn't going to get any better now.
Aesthetic Relic 301
He's always frustrated me.His blinkered runs remind me of Milan Baros. Head down and run forgeting where the ball is.
Gianfranco_Z 202
Great squad player to have, I think he has the potential but he is frustating sometimes..
zolayes 14,489
think he gets more flak than he deserves ,,,but cant see any progress
Badboy 1,526
He is not good enough for us. I would rather have stoch in the squad, stoch is better than kalou in my opinion.
Ollie 4,400
Kalou underrated? He's overrated as he somehow manages to get games for us even when Joe Cole is 100x better. Kalou is not fit to even touch the Chelsea shirt, let alone wear it in big games.
The Big Drog 1,110
I see Kalou play and I wonder if vision is really neccesary to play at the highest level because the amount of dead ends that man runs down is truly remarkable.
Ollie 4,400
Sell Kalou and give Kakuta the chance, please Carlo, this kid will shine when given the chance, he has so much about him, more than that hopeless waster Kalou. I know he's ready
boshman 1,073
I have never disliked a Chelsea player more than Kalou. He is just useless. Always runnng with the ball trying to do everything himself, eventually loses the ball or falls over. Kalou = Kalouless. Like OllieCFC said... Underrated? He is overrated!!
