BlueLion. 21,491
Was injured after the Liverpool match; the only reason he didn't play against Bolton was in case he aggravated it. Which he may well have done. Oh well, shit happens.

Hopfully he'll recover in time but daft all this media 'oh my god he's injured' its one player! Okay an at the mo very much on form player but still. Theres still gana be 11 players out there who in theory should be good enough to get us somewhere and win games otherwise what the hell they doing playing for their country?! warnie_666 1,081
Time for Drogba to overtake him in the race for Golden Boot. Its a blessing for us and should lift ll the Chelsea team for the upcoming OT game. But the players shouldnt be complacent as Man Utd is still a strong team.
BlueLion. 21,491
An initial diagnosis has suggested that Wayne Rooney will be out for up to a month with the sprained ankle he sustained during Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in their Champions League quarter-final tie yesterday, Sky Sports News have reported. The striker had to be carried off the pitch moments before full-time after an accidental collision with the Bayern striker Mario Gómez. He left the Allianz Arena on crutches with his injured right foot in a protective boot prior to having a hospital scan back in Manchester. The England coach Fabio Capello intends to hear from Rooney on the status of his injury by tomorrow at the latest.Source - The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/31/wayne-rooney-manchester-united-injury1)Wayne Rooney is facing between two and four weeks on the sidelines with a sprained ankle, Sky Sports News understands. The Manchester United and England talisman had the nation holding their breath as he crumpled in a heap on the turf at the Allianz Arena in the closing seconds of the 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich.Rooney, who had bagged his 34th goal of an astonishing season with just 64 seconds on the clock in the quarter-final first leg meeting, had to be helped from the field and later left the stadium on crutches.Replays of the incident showed he had turned his right ankle when he landed awkwardly, causing immediate concern for Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson and England counterpart Fabio Capello. The fears of the national team appear to be have been alleviated by the initial prognosis, but the Red Devils will be without their attacking ace for a significant spell during the title run-in and he will undergo a scan on Thursday.Ferguson's men, who head the Premier League by one point from Chelsea, play host to their title rivals at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime in what could well prove to be a pivotal moment in the season. The return leg of their European showdown with Bayern follows next Wednesday when United know they must score if they are to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.Massive blowRooney can expect to miss the trip to Blackburn on 11th April and may also struggle to be involved in the Manchester derby with City at Eastlands the following weekend and the home meeting with Spurs on 24th April. That would leave the 24-year-old with just the Premier League encounters against Sunderland and Stoke to regain match sharpness in domestic action before attention turns to England's World Cup bid in South Africa.Midfielder Darren Fletcher, speaking after the Bayern defeat, knows that Rooney's absence will have an impact on the Red Devils, but is confident they have players in reserve who can help fill the void."It would be a massive blow for us if Wayne doesn't play because he has had a fantastic season," said Fletcher.Source - Sky Sports (http://www.skysports.com/football/world-cup-2010/story/0,27032,12098_6066380,00.html)

Milan 17,957
Sure I don't wish him any injury, especially to him. However this is a great news for the Chelsea Football Club. If he's going to be out for four weeks, well, look at their fixtures. Let's use it in our good Chelsea!

Joe Cool 388
Great news for us as I had the feeling that Terry and Riccy wouldn't be able to control him (Terry would have been outpaced by him and the way Riccy has been playing lately, well...), and if our midfield can control the ball, then I'm sure that we can win. However, if or midfield is shite, then it will be a long day...
