Peace. 4,352
They got the head of the boss, I don't think his assistant will try to fuck with them. Roberto, you better do as they say if you don't wan't to get any trouble. You've been handed a tough job. Good luck, you'll need it.
BlueLion. 21,491
If I was di Matteo, I'd be in the know of who was causing trouble. Then I'd terminate their contracts at the end of the season, after watching them rot in the reserves for two months. I hope he comes down on them like a tonne of bricks. xPetrCechx 13,571
There is NO CHANCE that the players actually respect him. If there are good results, it's PURELY because they want to celebrate the ousting of AVB and send the "message" that they have won. Like TX said, what makes you think that the players give two shits about the things that RDM has done at the club

I hope he comes down on them like a tonne of bricks.I'd like to see a bit of backbone from RDM, it can go one of two ways, he just becomes a yes man and keeps the players happy or he makes his impact by changing things around dropping the players that have too much power & don't deserve to play & earns himself the job next season. Kez 2,727
I can see him becoming a drunk like Ferguscum after he's done with this job. Shouldn't haven even taken the job to be honest. It will only ruin his reputation.Expect him to age dramatically too. AVB aged terribly in 6 months.
Justin_3d 1,140
Well if there is anything to go by, Fulham thrash Wolves today. The team that recently sack Mick and appointed their assistant as first team coach!
Rubber bullets 1,183
I siad that AVB will probably try and be their best friend and basically suck up t them in order to prevent more mutiny, but coming across this article in the Telegraph brought up some interesting statementsHis man-management style at West Brom was widely considered to be “hands-off” and his relationship with the players was not regarded as particularly close. It was said that, while some players respected Di Matteo’s analytical approach, others resented what they perceived as a cold aloofness. It was undeniable, though, that Di Matteo was decisive and got most of his big decisions right. His subsequent appointment at Chelsea owed more to his impressive past as a player (five trophies from 1996 to 2002) than his relationship with Villas-Boas.There were rumours earlier in the season — strongly denied by Di Matteo — of tension in his relationship with Villas-Boas.There has also been suggestions that, like Villas-Boas, he has not proved especially popular with the players. How he now approaches the job will be fascinating.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9122665/Chelseas-new-caretaker-Roberto-di-Matteo-has-respectable-track-record-on-which-to-to-fall-back.html

Spike 12,049
Di Matteo should just play himself and only himself against Birmingham in the FA Cup. He will show these wankers how it is done in the FA Cup.

Madmax 9,219
Er .. good luck?Nothing to lose, really. We have a titular manager now, this is akin to the Grant reign when it'll be the players doing it on the pitch while RDM puts the cones out. Tortilla9 390
I said it months ago, the inmates are running the asylum. Fully expect di Matteo's reign to go just as well as AVB's did. What a bunch of arrogant pricks from the board to players. "Professionals" is a joke.
Mr. Ziggles 110
And now the media continue to write bullshit about us, if it was Man United, "oh god no, SAF is a legend blah blah blah i love roney".Good luck RDM... you'll bloody need it. francozola 2,040
There's still a loooong way to go this season. If he fucks up badly enough against Birmingham, Napoli and the next few Prem games, he could get the sack as well. I won't be surprised if this happens if the rumour that he's more hated than AVB is true
BleedsBlue 1,549
I am damn sure that Chelsea didn't sack AVB just so could RDM could be manager for the rest of the season.RDM will be managing only the FA cup tie and then after some days we will get to know who really is our caretaker manager.I probably think it will be Benitez. Kezza 1,965
Would be very noble of RDM to sacrafice himself and start executing contracts in the weeks to come for the sake of the club
diskoviolente 425
Expect him to age dramatically too. AVB aged terribly in 6 months.True. All of a sudden Robbie finds himself in the hotseat. Obviously he is not under the same pressure as AVB, who hopefully will be very successful now with a non-english team. That guy has talent, he is erratic and all, but i like his honesty and his sense of realism. If given the time he´ll build something big. Inter maybe ?All things aside, hopefully Mourinho signs a 14 year contract, getting all the authorities on football issues, by the end of the week.
