English Freak 456
Yeah, you can have a minimum of 3 players over the average age I think. Also regarding your question about Mata, he represented Spain U21 in 2011 in Denmark. I think the rules for U-21 Euro Championship is that a player must be born on or after 1st January 1990.Not sure about 3 overage players...but from the Preliminary squads that i've seen...there will be a quite a few 21-22 years old in this year's edition. So they can represent in Under-21 championships even at the age of 23 in some cases. I remember Milner or someone play U-21 at 23 years age

ja1 1,166
Starting for Netherlands U21. They've already qualified so the manager changing things round a bit for this game.

BlueLion. 21,491
[/Chelsea career].I personally think he's better than Bertrand. Shame. Best of luck to him, but we just seem to be farming youngsters off on loan until either they improve substantially (i.e. KdB), or we sign a younger, better replacement. Luke Shaw, anyone? Bir_CFC 3,455
He's better offensively than Bertrand, but he's been known to be very poor defensively. That said, he should have gotten a tougher loan, he's outgrown Vitesse. But I guess if Vitesse are going to give us MVG for dirt cheap they expect something in return. But I guess if Vitesse are going to give us MVG for dirt cheap they expect something in return.I agree with the tougher loan bit. I hope that Vitesse get Europa League next season (they are in qualification rounds again) so at least it means PVA and Kakuta can move up a level and experience European opposition - and also means most people can then actually watch Vitesse!I was hoping he got a PL loan TBH, although he's done well and settled at Vitesse I still think we should have been aggressive, given him to a PL team where he can push for a starting place, and then see how he does. We are in the market for a new, young LB with Cole declining(slowly but surely) and just having year by year contracts, I think it'd be naive to write off PVA as that LB, he could still have a chance at Chelsea IMO. Tomo 21,751
@, I disagree, Aanholt's easier to watch on the eye for a neutral, but Bertrand is way ahead of him in terms of actual defending (which PVA is a borderline joke at).

Still think Shaw will be here come January or next Summer, but i can't see Cole being here longer then two more years max.

mac.bo 48
I think this might be A.Coles last season so either its PVA time to return next season or we will need new LB to back up Bertrand
robdog 2,084
This guy has always showed the potential, but hasn't really been given a shot. Yes, I know Don Carlo ran him out a couple of matches, but that was it. I too would love to see both him & Bert fighting for a spot. Competition only will make us stronger. ChelseasMessiah 304
I'm watching Vitesse, and Patrick is having yet another great game. I think he's more than good enough to be with us next season. I dare even say he could be a first 11 contender if he keeps this up. He's got the lot.
