LDN Blue 7,903
I think us signing him would be a good thing. I don't think his ego will be in question, I believe his problem was with José Mourinho and the Inter ultras.. Who have no problem being openly racist and unsupportive of their players. Don't get me wrong, the boy has a serious problem with ego, but to deny his quality would be wrong

sLOVEnian Blue 74
I think he would be a perfect replacement for ageing Anelka ... both are strikers but both can play wide. I think they are both quite fast, Balotelli is a little more skillful but Anelka has better passing ability. In 2,3 years I can see Anelka leaving and I don't think Kalou can replace him on the right wing so our option can be Balotelli or Neymar. If Kakuta would play on the left with Neymar on the right we would have fast but quite small attack which isn't always good (Barca - Messi, Pedro) so I think Balotelli would fit in better then Neymar. The only problem is ofcourse his attitude and he also reseblance Anelka in this way when Anelka was younger , but if we can get him to behave I think we could hit a jackpot with this kid ... thewisso 0
I think he will be a great signing and I think we need a young star! I know we have Sturridge but he can be in the future with Balotelli instead of Drogba and Anelka! Also if they don't buy him I don't care there is other players! Joe Cool 388
SSNSky Sports News understands Manchester City are closing on a deal for Mario Balotelli, but a transfer fee is still to be agreed. The Blues have been chasing the Inter Milan striker for some time, with the talented but temperamental teenager having grown unsettled in Italy. He suffered numerous bust-ups with former Inter boss Jose Mourinho last season, leading to him becoming disillusioned with life at Giuseppe Meazza.A summer switch has been widely touted, even though Mourinho has since left for Real Madrid and Rafa Benitez has been appointed as his replacement.OptionsBalotelli's representatives have always maintained that the 19-year-old has numerous options to consider, including sticking with Inter, and they insist that no deal has been struck with City as yet. However, it is understood that talks regarding an agreement are ongoing and the Premier League side are closing in on one of their top targets.Reports in Italy have suggested that a £25million move has already been put in place, but it is understood that no such terms have been agreed.City remain optimistic regarding their chances of bringing Balotelli to Eastlands, but have put contingency plans in place. It is believed that Roberto Mancini has identified a list of alternative targets should he miss out on the youngster, who he worked with during his time in the Inter hot-seat.Good luck getting a starting spot there with the 500 strikers that they have.
