I agree they are better, although we only play 1 striker at a time. 3 good strikers will make us like ManCity (4 strikers, 2 playing and 1 always extremely unhappy).

Thats where jovetic's versatility comes into play as he can also play behind the striker and on the left wing,so if one of the 3 amigo's is not playing we can play jovetic on the wings or behind the striker and have somebody like huntelaar or bony available on the bench to make an impact.

100% agree, but I am telling you one of them will be unhappy. Of course we would be fully prepared for any casuality, but that was how City thought. Look at them now, everyweek we have news of either Tevez, Dzeko or Balloteli.

Our recent purchase history shows that we're looking into versatile players and he fits the bill. Can play up front or on the wings/behind the striker. I'm in favor of this move.

Instead of lukaku(is very raw and needs 2 years on loan imo) somebody like bony/huntelaar/Llorente and we will have a very good strike force.

No need for Jovetic. As it was said above, we need a pure striker. Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Marin and Moses with the addition of Sturridge who can also be deployed as a second striker or on the wing. Where would you fit a young player who wants to play week and week out in there?

That said, he is a brilliant player. I used to watch him regularly when he was at Partizan and the team that brings him will do a great piece of business....

Yeah i have no problem with him individually as a player, i was just saying in general i want a out and out striker and not someone who can do this this and this aswell. Compared to torres most people are an upgrade right now, i still think there are players we would be more suited too but its not like i would be against it. Put him up front for us now and i think we are sitting at the top of the prem loving life...

I think its because he plays more off of a striker as opposed to upfront alone, and being as he would be the focul point of the attack that is maybe why some are a bit aprenhensive of him... But he is a great finisher and that is exactly what we need. Also helps he is 6ft to give us some sort of a target up top even if he is no where near drogba like.

I think people are simply saying that what we have been missing is someone who can finish, so its not that they want an average player, but someone who is emmense at finishing as we don't want them to play in behind the striker or perhaps move wide we want someone who is a striker and can finish of the chances our 3 young creative talents can create.

I want him to substitute Sturridge (if he leaves, which seem probable). I agree we need a class clinical finisher for our team!

That does not mean he is a bad striker, he has a very accurate shot and has all the atributes necessary to succeed in our team (movement, technique, finish, header, etc).

Rvp, Suarez or Aguero are not just pure finishers, they give much more to the team.

Drogba was not just finisher. Sheva and Torres were just finshers and look what happend to them. I think a striker has to be at least useful in sth else, not just finishing. In example, if Falcao doesnt score, he is invisible all game. Cavani or

Jovetic try much harder to get the ball, go back to defence,...

If Jovetic (or whoever) is not just finisher, why he wouldnt be great scorer too? Just because he offers more, it doesnt mean he cant score goals.

And speaking about 'powerful force upfront evrryone fears'. Falcao wont just come here and start scoring for fun. He is not the type of Drogba player who was key of every game, even he didnt score. If we get Falcao, it doesnt mean he will be actualy good here.

I think he'd be a good buy - but only if we bring in an experienced, strong striker who'd give us a completely different dimension when playing.
