Chelseasgirl 1
Wasnt overly keen on the idea, but he's got my backing now. Hopefully he'll be given the chance to prove himself and be it something worth proving!
NattyBlue 44
We're gonna have to wait until December methinks... Scolari had already fucked everything up by then

Shane 2,275
Fuck off with us getting Pirlo.
EskWeston 696
I am sure signings will have been discussed long ago now and they have their list. I would be suprised if players like Seedorf, Pirlo and Beckham are really on his list because Chelsea WANT to take this club forward ith younger signings and also using the academy, this will have been made clear to Ancelotti and i would doubt we will see any "older" players signed. How much involvement will Ancelotti have on transfers anyway? That we will never be sure of. As long as every one at the club is working together for one common aim then we are on the right track. Stamford 3
I really really have my reservations about Ancellotti, but with Guus still with us and the friendship he has with Roman, I hope he proves me wrong. His English is not too bad, if you go to the club site and listen to his interview on Chelsea TV, his English is much better than I expected. He needs the money to secure his signings and given a chance.

EskWeston 696
My big concern about Ancelotti is his ability to work with young players, especially bringing them through from our own resources. I don't know what set up he had at AC Milan, how much was forced upon him and how much was his own choice, but it is not something he has done at AC Milan. BlueLion. 21,491
At Milan, he basically managed the team Berlusconi chose and did relatively well, in my opinion. Whether he can win the League in his first season is a different question altogether, but I am certainly going to get behind him - it might take us a year or two but there is no doubting he is a good manager. I hope the club actually gives him time, unlike Scolari.
TylerCFC 7
To be honest the boys are good enough to hold third in the league even if his tactics fail. His training should be a lot better than Scolari. Hopefully he does good. Welcome aboard Carlo.

And that may be something that continues here.... it is all about getting the right setup now at coaching level and also at management level. I think Ancelotti will be given time, Roman clearly likes what Ancelotti can bring to the table. We will see what that is in time.
TylerCFC 7
He speaks English fairly well...give him a month and he'll speak it just as well as Jose.
Aesthetic Relic 301
He speaks English fairly well...give him a month and he'll speak it just as well as Jose. Wilkins speaks fluent Italian, so if he's unsure about how to phrase anything I'm sure he'll help out. I'm not going to jump onto the bandwagon and start slating him. I dont know what he's like as a manager. I dont now what his poilicies are reguarding tactics, etc.... He'll get my backing until something happens to show me he's not the right man for the job. Welcome aboard
BlueLion. 21,491
Spot on, let's see what he can do come pre-season and the Community Shield, and then the start of the Premier League. Then, after that, we can start to slag off him off
Jessman 9
I cannot say I am very happy, but he has impressed me with his first English interview, if the boys are keen to train hard with him (Unlike Scolari tactics.) we should be fine, he has a good record, and seems to have alot of respect with Milan, so he has my confidence and support, Time to get training boys.
