2 sets of orthodontic braces for my children :( feeling a little cash poor at the moment but in two years their smiles will be even more beautiful :D:wub:

I don't know about USA but here in Oz, anything orthodontic costs a small fortune. Such a shame my family couldn't afford my braces...

Well since I live in Shanghai, it cost a bit more than it would in the US (the sticker shock is awful because of the exchange rate!)and part of that is needing/wanting an orthodontist that was trained in the US and speaks fluent English and accepts expat insurance. But yes, any specialty orthodontic/dental work in the US is expensive. We have dental insurance it only cost 1/2 of a small fortune and have known that they needed braces so we have been saving for them for years. We've know since Nathan was 5 that he wouldn't have enough space for all of his adult teeth. My husband and both his siblings had similar issues, so we planned for the worst.
