As with any Chelsea signing, my initial feelings are cast aside. He's now a Blue, so I'm hoping he hits the ground running.

He will prove to be a steal if he can have half the impact Palmer has had since joining.

I’m optimistic but why have we bought a striker who is 22 years old, played 37 games and scored 12. Before that only 8 goals. Is that a striker we need? I think we need an older experienced Striker. But hopefully he proves myself wrong, maybe he needs a team to pass him the ball… oh yeah we don’t!

I just like his build he looks physically ready, the issue is he going to be mentally ready to lead the line for this club.

He ragged us all over when we played Ipswich at their place, I just have a very small feeling he is going to be good

This is not a joke

Delap + Palmer = DP = DOUBLE PENETRATION + DOUBLE PENETRATION of THE DEFENSE OF THE DEFENDING TEAM

D+P = SCORE/SCORING IN THE GOAL. MALE+FEMALE = FOOTBALL IS SEXUAL INNUENDO IN CODE.

Following his Chelsea debut in the 2-0 win over Los Angeles FC at the Club World Cup, Liam Delap's new team-mates have backed the £30m man to be a success at the club.

After Delap made an impressive cameo appearance from the bench in the second half, defender Levi Colwill said: "I've known Liam for a long time now, and I've played against him loads of times. Growing up, you know what sort of players are going to make it and he was always one of those.

"To have him in our team, to train against him, to see him score goals - which I know he will - I'm very excited."

Much has been made of Delap taking on the number nine shirt at Stamford Bridge, but Colwill is not expecting him to feel the pressure.

"I know he wouldn't listen to that or read too much into it because he's a confident player. He's an amazing player, and we know he's going to score goals for Chelsea. That's the mentality we need from every player."

Good start but so did Morata.

I will wait till January to give a better assessment of him.

But in the short term he did much more then Jackson done in the last few games.
