I didn't agree with that. They just aren't comparable to this novice.

Did we find he is a novice just now tho? Remember some of us reminding folks of that early on.

thats why it’s unfair to not consider that now.

Point stands - Abramovich wouldnt have put up with this clusterfuck of results

everything is so different today that I don’t really find it comparable.

1. Young squad (even CBs) 2. Squad has more depth than last season esp attack but still nothing compared abramomich era 3. Young and inexperienced manager

tbf The game has also changed enough in recent years that I feel the bet on the new manager and system is warranted, but that’s also considering how th squad was built.

hardly think abramovich would have hired a novice manager and then sacked him for getting novice results.

The disparity in results, or lack of, is what counts at the end of the day, so very comparable

Agreed to disagree here. As discussed before nothing these owners are doing resembles what was done in the past.

everything is now build for the future and not the now.

imo disagreeing with the strategy is one thing, but I’m not surprised at all with the results much less with the lack of consistency—young players notoriously lack that.

I actually agree, which is partly why this result so frustrating. 😕

So profound. Not speaking the bleeding obvious or anything

These matches are why we need a more ruthless CF. Simple as that.

Whilst Jackson has improved his goal return this season, he had 2 or 3 chances where your thinking just hit the fucking target, you’ve done the hard bit, but as usual….

Not the first match and wont be the last which is why I have been crying out for us to get a more established CF.

Some poor defensive moments again though.

Wheels starting to look like they may come off a bit which isn’t good when Newcastle, City and Villa are picking up results.

End of the season is a fair while away yet but if we didn’t end up qualifying for the CL - and these sort of games end up being why - hypothetically speaking would Enzo be held as accountable as Poch was last year? Given the owners belief that last seasons squad was a CL level squad?

We desperately need a top striker and for Lavia to get back already. Caicedo has been an absolute machine and was great again today for the first half. But then even someone as tireless as he usually is was clearly running on empty. We need someone in there badly to lessen his work load.

I really like Caicedo but you think he was great today? I thought he was easily one of the weaker points of the team.

But you are right, desperate to get Lavia back... Or just a proper alternative. Problem is also need a proper forward and the club already got a lot of money tied up in both positions.

I can see us dropping more points versus Bournemouth at the level we are playing

Yarp and then we'll beat City just because and then go on to undo that result by dropping points in the game after.

It's not like the old days where we could go 1-0 up and win anymore we don't have that strong defence..and cause we struggle with scoring then it's here's a point for you..here's some for you..

Getting Lavia back is one thing.  Keeping him back and fit is entirely another

Yeah that's the truth, sadly. Can be said about too many players as well. Reece James & Fofana too...

No, and that one was key reason I was worried about appointing him in the hope he would "learn on the job."

I guess we'll find out quick enough how much the board support him doing so should results continue.

Once again, I'm not disagreeing. It's just that Roman wanted the best of the best or at least the next best thing. Whatever predicament we might have been in had he still here, it wouldn't have been this one.

Do the board support this "project" or not? Time will tell.
