Lavia still out for this one. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ ffs

Expecting an extremely tricky match here. Think Fulham will be aggressive and and go toe to toe with us. So that Lavia, Caicedo, Enzo trio would’ve been picture perfect for a game like this.

Casadei as the only midfielder on the bench is rough, hopefully not needed though. No Madueke in the squad could be concerning if it’s injury-related.

Two GKs on the bench.😒

No Viega, Chilwell, Dewsbury-Hall, Chukwuemeka

Badiashile, Fofana, James, Lavia missing due to injury.

Mudryk unable to be selected

Every week I think Andrey Santos back from loan makes a lot of sense right now

Fulham have a bunch of attackers who can be very dangerous on any given day. Adama, Iwobi, Jimenez, Pereira. Plus both their fullbacks are really dangerous going forward a lot of the time. We need to be very careful about giving the ball away cheaply.

Our boys need to have their A game today or Fulham can do a number on us. Need a big bounce back game from Cole who hasn’t been his absolute best lately.

Maresca doesn’t understand that against these sit back sides, having ponderous players (that I like) in Enzo starting, precludes us to nerfing output. They keep all the time in the world to retain their annoying deep shapes, vs suffer a blitz to open them up. It also complicates and confuses further up players who expect to play faster against such static sides. This is a coaching issue. Just design a more creative midfield, christ. You are not limited to one or two systems unless dense. What the hell are we doing here. A few weeks ago this is 4-0. Today won’t be anything like that. We are about to draw and scrape most of our remaining games. Why? Because the manager showed himself last game. I’m sure will have everyone notice in like 3 months. He has already arrived at the serious red flag fork in the road that no top coach does at this age or stage of their coaching career. He is so damn limited.

Fulham have taken points from Arsenal and Liverpool though. Not just a sit-back side

Cole is suffering via the midfield suddenly reverting to the same way we all called shit. We had a new midfield for a while. I wouldn’t say Cole is down at all. The team is, via the coach not having fresh ideas. Enzo is a make or break the side player. You must know when to use him. He will make today complicated for us. He could get an assist or goal, but him playing this way against this team today precludes us being unable to get those 4+ goals in like we were without breaking a sweat —- these sides had just become our easy run and we were celebrating  that fact. Watch this go tits up via shit coaching. It Was good coaching, in isolation, within a context. Broader, it remains what earmarked as.

Yes I fully expect a draw to follow the draw. Arsenal and Liverpool have had nowhere near our attacking output. Both have stuttered in front of goal, with tighter defences. There is no reason under the sky to not blow Fulham away, bar not putting out the right team with the right mind with the right instructions. We have the quality. Will it be utilised correctly.
