Vegetable 830
Unfortuantely kinda expected that building upon Wolves game momentum will look like this in our signature execution.
DH1988 1,348
Holy moly, KDH doesn't okay mega often, Grealish was shite his first season, no I'm not comparing the two, but players need time to bed in. I accept we've shown more patience than others, Misha, but we've been very guilty on shipping out talent that became world class or close to. Not saying he is or would be world class but when watching that team when Barnes etc were there I thought that's a player I'd like to see. Patience, how was Moises the first 6-8 months? No one here is crying out for Enzo to be sacked, which would go with their narrative. We played a side that we should be beating, with all due respect, quite comfortably. On another day, we could be talking about us failing to even qualify for the "mickey mouse cup," etc. Edited August 29, 2024 by LAM09
whats happening 1,615
it was obvious that the players had 0 will to play the game. its a bit unprofessional but in the end we are through. in two months no one will remember this game. calling almost every player shit and getting a replacment is just laughable. about the same people who are moaning that we are buying too much players lmao. cfccrost and Reddish-Blue 1

ZAPHOD2319 4,819
Colwill and Fofana know they have job security after that. Crazy bad back line play. KDH really looks way out of his league. I hope he can improve, but the simple fact is that we really do not need him. bigbluewillie

While He tried a lot of things and most did not come off, he is simply not a holding midfielder. So him next to Enzo, who also is as suspect defensively as he is offensively poor, was never gonna work. We will probably need one of Lavia/Caicedo on the pitch at all times but KDH will come in handy at some point. I am less sure about Jorgensen. What’s the point of him. His distribution is poor and wtf happened when he failed to save that weak header, did he slip? Blue Armour
Vesper 30,186
Dreadful Chelsea pair continue their horrible run – don’t let them near the first team https://Chelsea.news/2024/08/dreadful-Chelsea-pair-continue-their-horrible-run-dont-let-them-near-the-first-team/ Chelsea are through to the UEFA Europa Conference League proper, despite losing 2-1 to Servette in Switzerland. If last week’s performance against the same team started badly and got better, this was the opposite. Initially comfortable, Chelsea looked shakier and shakier. Manager Enzo Maresca eventually brought on the big guns, which improved things up front, but in defence and midfield the team remained totally porous. Perhaps the most worrying part of it all was the connection (or lack of) between Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile at the back. Once again, the two Frenchmen were error prone and dreadful on the ball too. The hopeful ideas we had of bringing in a ready made pair who knew each other from their time at Monaco has been shown to be laughably optimistic. They were horrible again tonight, as they always seem to be when paired together. Disasi was playing as a sort of half centre-back, half right-back role. Whatever it was, it didn’t suit him. Badiashile is perhaps even more of a mystifying case. With Disasi, we knew we were getting a solid but unspectacular player. But Badiashile flashed some real moments of quality in his early games. The fact he’s fallen to this level is really mind boggling. The ratings from Football.London said it all: Axel Disasi – Needs to be stronger for Servette’s first goal. Bring him down, man. 5. Benoit Badiashile – Doesn’t cover himself in glory for the first goal. I just have no idea what he is trying to do. He has his arm in the air but why? 5. 5s seem generous to us. This is Servette, and these players are supposed to be capable of playing in the first team. This isn’t a youth side we put out, these are the players who step into the first XI the moment a player is out – and we’ve had no shortage of that in recent years. Works both ways We shouldn't be talking about ifs and buts, as you've previously alluded to. We lost to a notably inferior side and limped over the line to qualify, as the agg scoreline shows. It will be interesting to see the reasoning were a team from Armenia to do the same in a few months time. Distance, players being too far away from home, and so forth. ZAPHOD2319 4,819
That pitch had a lot to do with tonight. It is being said they are going through a fungal infection and sod was poorly laid for this game. That was worse than any US preseason game this year.
