Chelsea 0-2 Man City

Enzo, as I said before kickoff, is simply NOT an advanced attacking midfielder. He’s a Fabregas like deep sitter. A Busquets. A Xavi.

Why we continue to think he’s some sort of #10 when he never looks good there is puzzling.

Plenty of bright spots following the City goal.

Lavia, Palmer., Gusto, Caicedo, Cucurella & Nkunku were solid.

Can't complain at all. Especially against the Premier league's top side

Because if he can't play there he's basically useless for this team

thsi is NOT the same Nkunku when he was smashing in 30 plus goals

he seems physically recovered but he was ALWAYS a ferocious attacker of the ball, always ready to drive towards the goal

now he looks too hesitant and unsure

it is really strange

Promising signs, I trust Maresca to know what to do to make us play better in the second half. Thought Enzo was poor and I don't think it had anything to do with the position he was playing - simply failed at the basics of football all half. No first touch, no composure.

The majority of players I’d expect to fail to maintain their level with the club being so dramatic, immature and stupid. Players are in tune. It’s not a fun time to play for cfc whatsoever.

Hopefully he recovers that ruthless streak when we play some of the weaker sides.

At least he was well involved in the play towards the end of the 1st half

Is he tho? Caícedo does not have to always play; he can be taken off or moved into a more defensive position.

hard to do that against a team like city, but I can certainly see this being done against weaker opposition (most other teams at home) or when chasing a goal.

yoi don’t always need a pure destructor like caicedo on the pitch.

Disagree completely. When he’s deeper and acting as the fulcrum linking the attack and defense he plays those brilliant passes. That’s his specialty. We need him deeper where he can have time in the ball and have all the play in front of him.

This continued experiment where he’s often the highest player in the attack is silly and making people think he’s shit. He’s not. He’s being used terribly.

Him playing as the #10 where he’s got two CB right behind him and the midfield right in front of him contesting the space he clearly struggles.

Yeah, pleased with Lavia & Caicedo.

Enzo below par. Could be just his position, like you said.

Wouldn't mind moving Palmer to central attacking in the 2nd half and bringing on another wide attacker for Enzo.

We look good. Players started with a little less balls. Then started growing a pair halfway through first half.

I expect second half to be more attacking as our players will be more.up.for.it

No fear.
