He had the wrong personnel on anyway. If Gusto was fit enough for the bench start him same thing with Nkunku. Noni and Sterling are killing us and Disasi is only a sometimes right back. Say what you want about Mudryk he at least tracks back and provides cover sterling doesn’t do that. Honestly we should be playing 3 at the back but we don’t have enough healthy players for that.

no matter who we started, we were getting outplayed tonight. the personnel wouldn't make a big difference imo

That’s in correct if you play gusto Diaz can’t play that far forward because he has to help on the overload.
On the other side if you have a player who can track back properly Bradley doesn’t get that opportunity because he’s put under more pressure. But what’s really failing us is the formation this team can not play 4-2-3-1 with the personnel we have. He’s had half a season to realize that and make a change

It’s not rocket science you don’t have to win every battle all over the field you set your team for winning the individual match ups and as those pile on so does your grasp of the game. That’s what Liverpool have done. Any time one of our attackers gets on the ball they are surrounded by two or three players. We don’t do this so much 1v1 defending

tricksy on Petro's part on that missed pen

he pointed to his left whilst moving to his right before Nunez struck it

Nunez looked like he was going to Petro's right at first, but then changes his mind mid kick when he saw that and sent it too far wide
