Djordje Petrovic

Statistically passing for a goalie does not matter if inaccurate passes are leading straight to goals as has been the case with Sanchez but not Petrovic.
both seem to be good reflex shot stoppers, have good reach and decent record on pens but Petrovic just makes fewer errors . He is not perfect but solid enough for me. Definitely should keep his place on merit even when big Rob is fit again

I think he’s actually a far better keeper than what he’s shown so far and as he continues to play will continue to grow. The biggest thing is the it feels like the team feel more secure with him in goal especially with the ball at his feet.

not convinced by him, not reliable enough between the posts. Gone are the days we were a nightmare for opposing attackers. We never replaced Cech or Courtois, this is criminal.

I really can't remember a case of a goalie as young as he is succeeding at a big club. He's not that young heh. Still, GK is the position where experience matters most, which is why we usually see older, not younger goalies at the big clubs.

Looks like he's got potential, but once again, potential does not get you points.

He's never been that good.

Classic case of what people did with Emerson and Baba Rahman where the desperation for his competition to be dropped has led people to see things that aren't even there.

You can bang on about Sanchez's bozo moments until the cows come home but Petro going too far the other way and booting it upfield even when simple passes are on (which in turn means the pressure is coming back at us) is everybit as destructive, if not more so.

Apparently willing to stay here and evaluate his options “not only in this window, but in future windows” according to reports from Sky.

This is why signing any players on 7/8 year contracts is fucking moronic. Never mind beyond average ones.

He is better than Sanchez and Jorgensen. He could become a strong goalkeeper because he has reflexes. The fact that he doesn't play sexy football with his feet that leads to mistakes that we get a goal almost every game like Sanchez doesn't make him a bad goalkeeper, but he could reach a decent level. But obviously for the third summer we will be targeting another goalkeeper in the face of Kelleher what a solid project .
