Hah, I still think the lad will come good. Gary Cahill also looked like a total fraud at times, especially in the beginning, but he really found his feet after a while and became a key player. Disasi has shown signs but not consistency, he has given it his all and been maybe our best defender this season. Certainly our best CB.

Disagree he is our only defender who has been able to stay fit.

carthorse

I nearly lost my shit when we bought him, so do not blame me

for right footed CBs I so wanted Bremer and António Silva and Milan Skriniar and Ronald Araujo and Maquinhos and Mohamed Simakan

surely we could pulled a couple of them over the past 3 years

lefties the list was shorter

Josko Gvardiol
Alessandro Bastoni

Another game without Disaster on the pitch and a another assured defensive performance. Surely this guy won't came back into the first XI.

I did find it odd we bought Badi and him to begin with when they were the defensive duo for a team in the French league that wasn't that great defensively... They were regularly letting in amongst the most goals for a team in the top half of the ladder.

I said last summer he was the worst signing we did and still believe that, guy sucks balls.

indeed, especially since we already had a CB/RB(Chalobah) who is much better.

If Trev gets scraficed in the Summer I am going to be fuming. Guy is actually our best CB this season - bar Silva - and has shown that unique quality of having improved his game, even when injured/out, because he has studied the game when not playing.

Bremer and Silva

Silva for sure. Bremer I have questions over. The guy is 27, at that age you have to believe he is going to come in an be a JT, Dias or VvD i.e. the one that sets the standard well above what else we have.

Are you confident he is going to do that, or is going to do what Trev has at 24 - after a long time out - and just be the best CB of the lot we have currently?

Everytime I have watched Bremer in a complete game, over the past 5 seasons (since he started to blow up at Torino) he has almsot always been a beast.

Here ar the 10 best CBs under 30yo (Marquinhos is 30yo in 6 days) on the planet atm, IMHO

ranked by valuation (left-footers in italics)

bold are availabe (Araujo and Bastoni in theory)

William Saliba
Rúben Dias
Josko Gvardiol
Ronald Araujo
Alessandro Bastoni
Éder Militão
Gabriel Magalhães
Matthijs de Ligt
Bremer
António Silva

Don't want to hear ever again that he is useless...

Yeah, got to give the guy some credit in knowing his limitations. Probably only did this as he knows if he got put on in such a game he would've made Sanchez's mistakes all of a sudden look like prime Yashin.
