15. Nicolas Jackson

I am still not worried about NJ. Great buy at £32m. Imagine how our year would have been if he wasn't in the squad.

22 years old, first season in the premier league, in tough circumstances. Seems like we are quick to give up on players around here. I for one am thrilled we have this guy, he's only going to get better and the worst case scenario for him is he ends up being a rotation option or moved to play out wide as and when someone emerges getting 20+ a season as a main striker, which if it happened would put us in a phenomenal position.

NJ, Cole Palmer, Enzo, and Malo Gusto are some of the signings I have a lot of long term faith in. Lavia and Nkunku I would if they were not seriously injured all year. Other than that I feel like we have burnt a lot of money on pretty average players (or worse), but I hope to be proven wrong.

When we have players like Disasi, Mudryk and Caicedo starting regularly, we have much bigger problems than Jackson.

For me, Jackson, as Cole says, just needs to get a little more confidence and sort his feet out. For me people are getting too caught up with the finishing. Nico has improved quite a lot with his hold up play and off the ball runs. The chances he got against City last week were a lot down to his own hold-up play/off the ball running. He wasn't doing that at the start of the season - particularly the hold-up play.

I am not saying he will be great or even good enough long term, however at least we have have actually seen improvements in his game this season and he hasn't even been as bad as some of the other players I have mentioned above.

Lastly, he has only had two pro seasons playing in the most difficult position on the pitch. If anyone of the 'project' players we've got deserves some slack, it is him.

I don’t know how he managed to score that header on the weekend.

I was told he has no neck muscles and can’t improve at his age.

Just like Kepa having weak wrist muscles. All these incurable perma wrecked diseases our players carry.

Carry on though. It’s easy to see who’s never played sport before lol.

Kepa doesn't have weak wrists but mechanically he has a big weakness which is his habit of swinging his hands behind his back before attempting saves - particularly those low down to a corner. That is the reason why he sometimes allows balls to go past his hand after he has got it there. There was a deep dive on this - I think in The Athletic - but it may have been somewhere else.

Either way, I also like Jackson and have supported him against his critics.

However, Kepa is a poor example to make your point with. Ramires, Drogba and Lampard would've been better examples of players who were largely written off by our fan base, only to turn them around.

I'll gladly post my sporting credentials on here against yours.

Not only that, happy to talk around "recurring" injuries and coming back and recording significantly better sprint and vertical jump measurements.

Apparently he has suffered an ankle sprain and had to be subbed off on Indy duty. Probably nothing serious as long as he recovers fully and does not get thrown back in prematurely but highlights our lack of depth at CF.
