I don't think that at all, they came with a purpose to buy youth, it's clear they are building a team for the future and with the multi club system they want to create, they have a place to loan these players gain experience and game time and make the transition to the main team. We as Chelsea fans are used to instant success, buying 28 to 30 year old ready made players, that doesn't seem to be the case going forward, summer window compared to the winter was clear,.they bought players in the summer to try and have the team compete through the transition and it didn't work, was that the managers at the times fault or Thiers at this point no one truly knows. Well known fact any new business (which this is to the owners) makes a loss in its first year, well hopefully this is our loss and it's only up from next season.

I said all through summer 2021 we should have rolled with the same squad due to lack of options out there and like magic our two signings proved a disaster. This one admittedly is more hindsight on my part but we also should have just signed Fofana and Sterling (Enzo also if we had enough time post the owners arrival to gazump Benfica) then regrouped with a more settled structure.

I'm more arguing against the notion Klopp had full control.

One example perhsps thats right but he specifically only wanted to go for van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, Thiago (& the boy who went to Wolves for 42m) & Nunez.

When they knew Werner was too expensive they only pursued Jota. When Sporting priced them out of a move for the boy at Wolves, they didn’t panic buy anyone.

I think Klopp has had the sort of control you would want any manager to be given re transfers.

Right but how much influence did Edwards have in those deals? He was heavily involved in player identification since 2016.

You going to say that having 4 diff managers in one full year of ownership- yeah Bruno was 1 game and yes Franks caretaker but its still 4 managers on oaper - is signs of a competently run organisation? Honestly cant win with you at all. Stuck by Potter for months now your telling me Boehly/Eghbali’s footballing decisions haven’t been that bad?

Its more than getting one manager wrong, its ripping out the whole footballing infrastructure, delegating roles to themselves their not suitably qualified for (Boehly as whatever he wanted to call his role in the summer window being heavily involved in the transfers), the dragged out failure to recruit technical and sporting directors to replace Marina, Petr so soon, hiring Potter, sacking Potter far too late, rehiring Frank. Sacking however many other folk in the club.

There is a complete clusterfuck of things that have contributed to this season all stemming from poor decisions made by Boehly/Eghbali. 

Even the point on Enzo, I didn’t expect us to get it done and was very vocal about how stupid they looked mainly because Boehly and Eghbali told the players camp they would pay the release clause in one go to agitate him to move thinking he would push hard - before proceeding to negotiate for about 2 weeks until it was done. 

Put it this way - forget the football shit - do you think if Amazon hired 4 CEOs in one year they’d be deemed to have had a successful year?

Yes but there have been serious blunders. Letting go of a perfectly capable physio and replacing him with the physio that got Dave Grohl through a concert tour....and then not coincidently player fitness has been crap. Talking to reporters about James Corden giving him advice. Making a complete mess of high profile transfer deals. That is all outside the manager carousel. Bringing in so many players that they have to sit on the floor of a professional locker room. I hope they have learned from these blunders. It has been a circus of a year.
