Now that Pope Benedict has stepped down from his Devine position in the Catholic order, bookies have tipped him 2/1 as the next Chelsea manager

Can definitely see him snubbing us for City.

Really can't see why he would, though.

We can buy anyone City could buy, have a bunch of young players with world class potential, are only a few pieces away from being a true powerhouse, and London is a hell of a lot more exciting than Manchester.

He'd return a hero and do wonders for the likes of Hazard. Not to mention every player in the world would want to play for him and we'd easily recruit new players.

It's a no-brainier. If all it comes down to is Roman giving him control over all footballing matters than he needs to do so for the future of the club. Can't afford another season of lagging double digit points behind United.

Can almost say the same thing about City...can buy anyone we can, has some fairly good talent...remember he prefers talent NOW as well.

I think the London thing works in our favour however

Still can't see Jose returning here, tbh, because that would have to mean:

1) RA admitting he was wrong to fire him in 2007. And in my experience, rich, powerful men, don't like doing that.

2) He will be given time, money and control. Highly unlikely, imo.
