The Next Manager?

I'm sure if Chelsea have held key meetings with managerial prospects then transfer targets have also been discussed and are being worked on. A bit of calm is needed, i have faith the club will make the decisions needed and so long as the manager is sorted ready for the start of pre season i don't see the huge worry and problem.

I can't believe the amount of angst among some fans in the grand scheme of things it's a pretty trivial matter who Chelsea's next manager is. Just enjoy the World Cup if your country's involved or for us English expect the usual disappointment. My first World Cup was 1974 not many left for me now :(

Always thought Poland would do that one Iggy. Beating Brazil and Italy -Lato was something special

Best was the Cruyff turn and this still the funniest thing ever to happen on a football pitch:)

Because we never speak until there's something to tell people. No idea why this is so difficult for people to understand.

its not the board not saying owt till its fact, the problem is they are slower than trying to get a cab to go to Brixton from the City after midnight!

And when they do do something its normally a bodge job.

Really should bring that back. See what David Baddiel thinks of how we are going.

I'm coming to London this weekend (I haven't updated my profile), is the weather as hot as Pedulla says it is?  Trying to figure out what to pack.

Yh it's not bad at the moment. Warm but not scortching yet. Though I have read that an Atlantic storm is going to hit Britain in telhe next few days bringing a hault to the nice weather. Not sure if that will affect London though.

But they don't need to rush except that bed wetters on social media are crying for them to do something. And in fairness they don't usually botch up. Think they've been more good than bad . Relax, if you think about it very little has been done by other teams. All happen soon

Transfer wise this seems to happen every season.. Slow to act or get turned down by a player after spending most summer trying to get and then think shit.. Only his time there is less time so hopefully they'll move quicker.. Once we have a manager that is.

OK in a normal circumstance when we have got a manager that we trust and a team that can fight on some kind of an equal footing then I'd agree that time isn't the biggest factor. But the situation that the club is in we really shouldn't be dragging our arses while we are giving players (both ours and potential transfers) the impression we dont have a bloody clue WTF we are doing! Would you go play for some club that dont know what their next step will be or rather play for a strong club that know exactly where they aim to be at the end of the season?

We dont have the strongest reputation for attracting GOOD players as it is but our best windows in the last few years have been when we have acted quickly and knew who our targets were before the window opened. But as we dont have a sporting director or the manager that has any sort of idea what our current players are like so won't have an idea of where he needs to strengthen or who he needs to get shot of. As well as our current best players being tempted by our stronger rivals for varying reasons it all shows what a mess we are in. This isn't the sort of problem that gets sorted in 1 window. It takes planning and a team working together from top to bottom to sort it. Not Romans normal quick fix by chopping off the head and growing another.

So we cant afford to be all chilled and relaxed just hoping that the club 'dont usually botch up' because they have, often. And we are already behind our rivals so the more we ummm and ahhh the further we fall back.

I'm normally very optimistic and the one saying it will all be OK. But gotta admit I'm worried right now.

Fairly certain that as the manager has very little say in who we sign it won't make a blind bit of difference if he's in place or not. They'll be making contact with players and agents as we speak. They certainly won't announce anything until the manager is in place. Anyway maybe your right I just think there's so much panic goes on between here and Twitter. Just have more important things personally to concern myself with than worrying every day that goes by about what's going on at the club. It'll be interesting no matter what

That Alfredo Whathisface asking for patience in his latest Tweet about Sarri:lol: Dont worry mate, it's only been just short of a month since the final whistle blew at Wembley, we have signed fucking nobody and the managerial situation is a fucking mess.

Signing Sarri is complicated because all of this. It is occured just 2 weeks ago, along with a holiday in mind, so if it's happening this week, I think it is still sensibly acceptable if you think about it. Well, we know how hard-ass de Laurentiis was to negotiate with.

Careful there mate. Calm rational thinking is frowned upon
