He did reject a lot of clubs, especially in La Liga tbf. Also, he was favourite to take over from LvG after his last season at United, until we sacked Mourinho.

 

I have only watched UCL games from his time and read complex tactical articles (mostly cause I'm a tactical nerd). I remember he took PSG to the next level, for sure. When we faced PSG, it always felt like we are the underdogs instead, although we had a much greater squad strength. He also introduced Rabiot and Marquinhos, who are now key players for them. 

 

He doesn't come out as a revolutionary like Sarri, but he has exactly the same CV (maybe even better) as Conte, when the Italian joined us. 3 consecutive league titles in a league where it seemed like it was a one horse race. Not very good performances in Europe. Although he does have an edge in Knockout competitions over Conte in his UCL achievements and domestic cups. Also, his season at Bordeaux where he won the title quite astonishingly and went unbeaten with them in a group which had Juve and Bayern Munich in UCL.

 

I'm not saying this cause he's linked to us. If we went on to get Sarri, even then I'd rate Blanc, wherever he goes.

Everyone is so on edge that every piece of twitter this or that is brought up, analyzed, then debated.  Cabin fever has taken hold.  Lack of news is leading to in-fighting.

When he was there, he gives all the power to the big guys who fall into comfort and lack of intensity. And I thinks that why DL want him, to win back his influence in the team.

He's a very inmaginative manager who wants to do Pep philosphy but understands nothing about it.
When journalist asked him "what your philosophy, he answered: my philosophy is possession" Or guy like Pep, Sarri Smapaoli always say possession is a mean not the end.

For example he used to put Cavani as left winrger, and of course the guy was bad because he wanted him to play like Leroy Sane...

And when Motta or Verratti was injured, the team used to lose control of the ball because the way the team play was based on individual quality and not strong pattern.

With Abramovichs visa problems, and the UK and US hostility to Russia - I hope Abramovich isn't churlish and  take it out on his English club -by neglecting immediate remedial work -manager, players. I think/hope he is a bigger man than that. Again with regard to the visa thing, it is known there are many high up in the Home Office, that are gooners, who hide for a living, and will be enjoying the Chelsea upheaval, if not instrumental in it.

With regard to the manager, I don't think Conte is the man for next season, the board have fucked him off -so Laurent Blanc (Larry White) maybe the solution, though with our boardprobably end up with Dave Bassett.

I dont know it matters about which new manager comes in with bringing in  new players unless its one of the ZZ/Pep/Mou standard. When Conte came I know many of us was thinking/hoping he would be bringing half of Italy with him after all the things his ex players said about him. but they didn't lol

Theres been a tsunami of water bone under The Bridge where Conte is concerned I'm sad to say.

I watched an old interview Mou gave towards his last sacking with us and he said that when the media starts with all the headines like  "When is such n such manager getting sacked" and "When is manager X coming taking over' it loses that current manager the respect of the changing room. and Conte got those headlines from a couple of games into him coming to us. and with our history of player power it was an uphill battle for him specially as not once did any of the board show any guts and come out stating he was our manager and the club was behind him. Nothing new there tho. Cunts.

I keep reading that we still have full backing of Roman and he wants a more hands on roll but i cant see any signs of it at all.

In a way I wish i could say sod it and be content playing mid table football but I'm like a spoiled kid right now being bollocked by my parents and just feel like telling them to fuck off!!

What exactly did he expect would happen when he was constantly bitching about the board and saying stuff like "i've gotten the maximum out of this group of players" while we were in the middle of fighting for a top 4 spot.

You would hope that the board /supporters/players would understand why he was throwing a fit more than a player coming out in the press basically stating the players he was with wasn't worth him playing with.

I would rather have a manager fighting his corner trying to strengthen the team than some yesman kissing the boards arses thanking them for being useless.

I think/HOPE we manage to get someone in the middle ground!!

Its very easy to get carried away by Youtubes as they can manage to make any player look good!! And sadly you dont get them showing the weaknesses of players/managers. So these are more interesting.

 A player making a single comment at the very end of the season stating we need to strenghten the squad vs a manager constantly complaining about the squad in the middle of the season while we were fighting for a top 4 spot.

The timing and the amount of times makes a big difference. If Conte had just said it once it would have been fine but he just kept saying the same shit over and over again. After the 4-5th time it was "okay we get it, now get on with it".

I'd rather have a manager ,being paid millions to do his fucking job, not act like a 5 year old.
