Its going to e very interesting to see between us and that north London club the managers we sign (taken that we do actually ger rid of the Don which I'm not sure we will as it will cost us too much money - unless HE jumps ship that I cant see him doing)

I woild have thought old vinegar tits would have been talking to the board considering his replacement and made his suggestions considering the time hes been there.

Just looking at the odds of who will be our next manager.

One place has Allegri down as 2/1 fave and Sarri is 33/1 yet another site has Sarri and Enrique joint 5/2 faves with Allegri at 9/2.

Sarri might be worth having a couple of quid on @ 33/1

It would be borderline lunacy to hire Allegri when you can get Sarri. One offers a new direction to the club in terms of overall playing style and philosophy whilst the other offers a recipe that's no different from what we've been seeing under Mourinho and Conte. Everyone seems to want change and that won't happen under Allegri, which is why I would be surprised if we end up with him instead of Sarri.

Could argue that one has the track record and the other doesn't. Both represent risks in their own way and Sarri is bigger of a risk than Allegri at the moment.

I like what I read about Sarri and I've seen Napoli a few times and they play very good football, especially considering they don't work on huge budgets. He's gone in there and improved a number of players.

An appointment like this is a huge risk but carries perhaps the biggest potential reward which would be playing exciting, vibrant football that most of us (including Roman) have wanted to see, but also in a means for us to be challenging for the top trophies.

I understand also that he isn't afraid to play youngsters if he deems them good enough which would be another bonus.

He would need time and patience though. From the article above, Napoli struggled initially and the likes of Guardiola's City, Klopp's Liverpool and Poch's Spurs were all pretty ordinary in their first 12 months. We have a group of players that has been used to playing in a certain style for a number of years and they won't adapt to such drastic changes overnight. If the board are willing to go 'all-in' with an option like this and give it the opportunity to flourish then I am all for it.

I feel exactly the same as you. The more Ive read about him the more I like him. And it sounds like he can work on a budget. But it sounds like theres good players who like him alot. And IF we are after KK he can put him in his suitcase,

Yeah agreed. I really like Sarri.

I think we need to hire a manager that's going to play a possession type of football and isn't going to compromise.

One of the big problems has been that we've hired pragmatic managers, we play good football  for a while then we end up going through a rough patch and they switch back to a more pragmatic way of football but there's no growth in that.

We need a manager that isn't going to do that. Someone who's going to keep playing possession football even if we go through a rough patch and the results don't go our way.

Regardless of the opponent whether it's a championship club or a top european club the football philosophy needs to be kept.

Sarri could be that guy.
