The only place to be 11,313
People feel free to re-vote by the way. I've removed the Guardiola option because he's gone and I've added Wenger because someone asked for him. If anyone wants anymore options added, feel free to ask.I've also removed the Benitez option because you're not allowed to vote for him. Not sure how realistic Manuel Pellegrini would be but IMO he was unfairly sacked from Real and is doing a great job with Malaga. It could be that Malaga's financial woes could drive him away which could make him a possibility. If you could add him to the poll I would change my vote for him probably, or Diego Simeone. didierforever 7,349
He also parked the bus against them previously and got spanked 5-0. Then there was a lot of pressure on him to release the shackles and let his team play football against them, he listened and they've been doing better against Barca recently. But Chelsea are nowhere near as good as Madrid, i won't be surprised if he reverts to defensive tactics at another club.(Mind you, Mourinho also played defensive against Bayern last season)he learned from his mistake. 5-0 was a tactical disaster trying to defend against barca with the team RM has. i do remember benzema scoring off valdes mistake in one of the many el classicos last year which goes on to show that the idea of parking the bus was totally dropped (i think the goal was in the first 10 minutes with the score being 0-0 and no reason for desperation)..we are not as good as RM RIGHT NOW but with the likes of mata, hazard, oscar, kdb, coming to the fray and becoming the players every1 tips them to become we can be awesome. even right now if we had a striker like BA upfront instead of the blonde whore from the start of the season (i dont like to think what we would have been with some1 like falcao) we would have been in CL, probably pretty much in the title race if not the leaders. (so i think u r underestimating the team a little)bayern was a given... that was just sane and good management.i think most managers would have done that. plus RM almost pulled it off in the allianz arena if not for the coentrao error. Kostas 1,468
Yes, he failed with Real Madrid players, so he can fail with Oscar, Mata and Hazard as well.He was concerned about getting the best out of some players. Is that the same as failing a season?
didierforever 7,349
Not sure his job with Real Madrid is a success...oh come on dude... thats not fair. one copa del ray, one la liga and 2 semi finals in 2 seasons is definitely success. RM might be having a bad season right now but its still not over (they are in copa del ray, they are still in CL) and i dont think we need to go very far back in history to see a club winning CL who dint have a good season in their league... JDY 1,290
At the end of the day I want to watch Chelsea win. I couldn't care less how they do it. It's not about you though (not in a harsh way), it's about Roman. Over the past two years he's invested in a specific type of player so that we can play the expansive brand of football he craves. The final piece of the jigsaw (for Roman), was Guardiola. It makes zero sense for Jose to return. Does Jose care about style? No, he's a winner. Would Jose come back only to be told what to do again? No. He believed in Pep's philosophy to the point where he was the ONLY option. At the end of the day, Roman put all his eggs in one basket hoping (relying) on Pep coming to us. Those eggs have cracked open and slapped him in the face.

I think Henrique is kind of right. I mean, it is not failure, but is definetly is not success. In 3 years he will finish twice behind Barcelona (in a two horse race) and he might even finish behind Atletico (which is unthinkable for Madrid fans). Also, I can not imagine how Real fans felt when losing that semi-final against Pep.Eihter way, if he wins La Decima, everything will be fine. His job depends solely on UCL! We're just lacking in maybe 2-3 positions to have a really good team. If Mourinho comes here he has to address that and we will be good to go. His job depends solely on UCL!but thats the point of it. this is season is not over yet (and we as chelsea fans should definitely understand this thing. at this point last year we were crying over CL football with the CL trophy nothing more than a dream and a fantasy and in my opinion RM are in a much better position to pull off a CL win than we were at any point of time last year). we should judge him on his last 2 seasons which have been really good for RM considering some of the hammerings they were getting in el classicos, their trophy draught (i m not sure about this but i think they dint win anythin for some seasons) and most importantly their CL form before jose came in.this season has been an utter disaster for RM but i hope that they do win the CL (i cant stand the idea of any other big team winning team given that the other biggest contenders are barca, united, bayern and juve)

didierforever 7,349
all this aside, who here thinks that pep will be successful at bayern? One thing that Pep has proven himself good at is building a strong team. But I'm unsure whether he'll be able to recruit enough young talent like he could from La Masia. He's going to need to work with a team filled with experienced legends. To make that team work to his liking is going to be a tough job.in my opinion bayern is going to have a hard time. on the lighter side to things - now we can actually see robben passing the ball or will we?? Magic Lamps 11,692
Ha Guradriola signing once again for a team that guarantees domestic titles cos 80% of the opposite teams are simply shit. One might have thought Guardiola would have wanted to prove himself in the best league of the world, where every game is a challenge instead of the least competitive league in the world Blindeliga. No idea who is RAs primary option now. I'll check the odds.
