U said it urself "Heavyweights" is the key word :P

CHO, I think is a goner ... it has put into his mind that he wouldnt be given much of a chance here like everyone before him due to how we have handled the youth transition into the main 11.

One thing we can start doing for these heavyweight is giving them less game time ... put the faith into those who want to play/perform if need be get the players back from loan to make a statement. We arent going to finish top 4 anyways this season.

Not sure we have many heavyweights bud.

We got some I would start - some I would keep for backups and the rest I would sell in a heartbeat.

They don't have the heart to fight for that top 4 spot. Tho they have the skills needed to do it. They are like Eden. Fairweather players. Only play good when all is rosey cozy kushdee.

I was just telling @mccg that Ive thought since I stopped following England that I didn't care about HG players and didn't think we should be made to use them

But Chelseas always had a strong core of English lads. They were all strong passionate guys. Yes of course we had strong passionate none English but they were tight friends with the lads.

I don't know if it was because they realized what wearing the Chelsea badge meant and the history and pride that went with it but they were fighters when the shit was going down.

We have gradually lost all our strong players.

I miss that.

Maybe I'm a dinosaur and talking bollox. But its how I feel.

your right on that core players because of them we won things ... Since the start of the Roman era when we started winning titles the heavyweights were leaders not so lame heavyweights we have now. I mean we fucking won the Champions league because the core had it in them, would the current so called heavyweights be able to pull it off. I dont think so.

Maybe the passion was there to actually take Chelsea on the top by winning things and they were the custodian of making it happen after seeing such a strong set of personalities coming together.

Currently to be very honest, the only players who is above 29 i would want to keep is Pedro. Yes he is shit at times but that guy plays with his heart and is a decent bloke to have. Will keep in Azpi too. Rest flush then all out ... Luizs, Alonsos, Hazards, Willians, ...

Shit!!! Damn your right, there arent even lame heavyweights left... we are so hollow from inside.

The transfer ban comes at a perfect time because we might just keep Sarri.

No new manager will want to take over with a transfer ban.

This is perfect and for now we will be forced to stick with a manager for once.

Nah. Unless we get summer but even then it's risky. Let's hope he can make changes then as we're not going to bring the players in he wants if don't get summer window.

im sorry but you must be naive if you think that this board is thinking rationally. sarri is getting the sack and after that they will think about the new manager and the transfer ban. they dont have vision, proven numerous times before.

Sarri has already stated he cannot motivate them and other outlandish quotes- The transfer ban has little to do with him, regardless of it if the results continue he will be sacked.

Chances are the appeal will see us buying in the summer, couple that with the crazy money we throw at managers there will always be someone who is 'attracted' to the job.

I think with this manager and current group all hope is lost, just read Rudiger's quotes from the other day.

Sticking with Sarri is a dangerous game. Most fans doesn't like him. For me it is more important to know what kind of football that we want and have a good player recruitment and development. That is the key for long term succes not the manager.

It's vital we carry on with what we started appointing Sarri and keep transitioning to the new style.

For all the talk of it going wrong with AVB because we tried to change the style, we actually carried on the process after him for a further two years and it was only because Mourinho suddenly decided he wanted a fast track title we stopped.

Many didn't like Benitez and we was doing fine, only to get Mourinho the fans choice......

Screw what the fans think when it comes to manager. That screwed us in the past.

Hiring Mou for the 2nd time kinda hurt us in the long run but we won two epl and everyone were happy. Maybe it is just Chelsea DNA to play counter attacking football.

I personally have no problem in changing but clearly the majority of Chelsea fans don't agree with me and all the booing and complaining will put pressure on the board to sack the manager.

If we continue who should we hire next? I honestly have no clue. People want a manager who is flexible, play youth and win games. Plus you want attacking football.

Forget to add. You also can't be too flexible depending on your opp or people will think that you are coaching small team like David Moyes
