Chelsea have held positive talks with Maurizio Sarri in Milan and  Goal understands that they remain optimistic about bringing him to Stamford Bridge this summer despite the slow progress of the deal.

Refers to the meeting this afternoon between Chelsea board and Napoli in Milan about Sarri, I’ve read somewhere about that today. That’s why I was interested in this other topics thing. Makes me wonder what they were talking about other then trying to finalize the deal.

Seen a tweet from some Italian journo earlier that from Friday onwards if Sarri resigns he has to pay 1,5m euros penalty.  Thats what will happen is my bet (think i posted it few days back) and we will repay the 1,5m to him in signing bonus or over the contract period

I hope its very early friday cause theres alot of fridays in this window and all the 'reports' Ive read they expect it to happen THIS SUMMER!

Ive been having a ponder and I'm wondering if we already have an agreement all sorted out ith Sarri and all this really is the plan (whether its good or bad) thats been agreed upon.

I know we are looking like we have turned into a north London club but I really cant see the powers that be, whoever it is thats making decisions, is daft enough to lose out on a manager over a small amount of money.

With Sarri APPARENTLY liable to have to cough up 1.5 mill euros from friday onwards ti leave I see us just paying that fee for him.

These apparent meetings today I HOPE are touching basr checking on player transfers and letting each other know all is still cool/

SOMEONE thru the club MIGHT have spread the La Blanc links just to throw the twat known as ADL off the scent of whats really already agreed.

We havent been penny pinching that much in the windows, we are still spending money. Its just that we haven't bought good enough lads. And till we have peeps with football experience on the board (football director) we might just still be running round like a headless chicken buying wonkey donkeys on the last day.

I just hope this agreement with Sarri is right. Either way I reckon it will come out before the weekend.

Then hopefilly we can all go forward as one. Carefree.

my only concern with doing business with Napoli this way is that if we wanted to get any player from them in the future we are screwed.. there is no good will in doing this deal this way for future considerations. I can understand the stance from the club in this with how the treated us in the past over Edison Cavani

Hes trying in his own way to get the best for his club that he can possibly get.

Hes a business owner. But he could make more money out of us by doing good straight up deals than playing hardball.

And that goes exactly the same for us. IF we let him win a small fight like this we could end up saving much more money IF we bought players off him.

Must please Napoli supporters seeing their owner fighting openly for them. Even if hes bonkers.
