We need a bit of stability with managers if we're going to profit from our academy. Short term managers wont nurture kids as in 2 years time they wont benefit from them at another job.

For some reason i don't see Enrique as a long term person. My preference would be 1. Tuchel 2. Sarri 

The heart would love to see a young coach connected with the club, Someone like Jody Morris with JT/Lamps along side (i know this will never happen for a couple of reason but if Barca can do it with Pep and others..why not)

Juventus was 3 times consecutive champion of Italy when Allegri went there. If he liked instability and challenges so much he would stay at Milan.

Allegri left an unstable club and joined to the best club of Italy.

When Bayern, Real, PSG are looking for a manager I can't say that Chelsea is the best club he can join now. Also he has a contract until 2020 with Juventus.

Oh yes, he was fired. So unlike now, he was not under contract when he signed for a new club. Also obviously like most managers he sucks when the board sucks.

Like I said then he joined the strongest and most stable club he could go. No reason for him to join us when Real, PSG, Bayern are looking and he has a contract.

Until a week ago there was a slight possibility for him to get the sack but then Napoli lost and Juve eliminated Spurs. I hope you guys are right and we can get him when Conte is gone but I don't think he would join us.

Outside of the top 4 as well

We just need a manager that will implement more youth, like Pochetino since we are going to be out of contention with the way the board runs thing.

Going back to my post earlier today linking us with Jokanovic. It's a weird link and at first thought it gives the impression of a manager version of our links with Crouch and Carroll. 

But actually when you think about it further, he's actually done a very good job in his roles over the last few years. He finally took Watford back up and was ridiculous how he didn't end up managing them in the Premier League. Took Maccabi into the Champions League group stages for the first time in however many years and has progressed Fulham on ten fold from relegation fodder to one of the favourites for promotion. All of this playing a progressive and 'easy on the eye' style of football and not having a problem giving chances to young players.

Now the jump from these teams to Chelsea is beyond huge, and I'm not suddenly saying he is my first choice or 'the best choice', but with regards to the big name coaches we're being realistically linked with (Enrique, Tuchel, etc) none of them stand out in my opinion compared to previous years when we brought in the likes of Mourinho, Ancelotti and Conte. What I am saying is that a number of clubs have taken a punt on managers which may not appear to be 'elite' down the years and even recently who have gone on to do very well. 

I also get the feeling that the Board are trying to become more patient with managers and create a bit more stability. I think there is a realisation that we no longer have the biggest budget and as a result the strategy needs changing. In years gone by, Mourinho would have gone far earlier than he did, and Conte would also have been gone by now. I think Mourinho could have stayed and survived one poor year if he didn't have such a combustible and controversial personality which makes him unbearable and unreasonable when things are not going well. Conte seems to be very much from the same mould. Again, I think Chelsea would consider keeping Conte on next season, knowing that there is not any better proven managers on the market, even if we didn't make top 4. But his near constant moaning and irritable behaviour and demeanour mean this is very unlikely.

That would actually encourage me more that they bring in a progressive manager that can freshen things up, but also be given time to make that impact.

If we are ever going to give time to anyone I hope it's Lampard. 

To me Lampard is the one person that I would like to gamble on. 

I really want to see him in that role. 

But other than that who is available that is worth taking a shot..... Well sarri is interesting but I don't know. I much rather go all out for pochetino. See if we can convince him to come? 

If not we can try for sampaoli? 

I admit I love Bielsa, he is the teacher of pochetino and sampaoli but like Conte, Bielsa is a manager tough to work with.

Bielsa doesn't have a great CV simeone would be great at Chelsea but I have big doubts that he take the Chelsea job
