There was a bit of fight but really it was never going to be enough, RM never got out of first gear.

Our finishing has gone past woeful, it's now comical. Sick to death of seeing fucking FL already up and down out the dug out and his half smile interviews.

Fuck all left of the season now, what a sad state of affairs

Players like him are being wasted away by crap managers.

Definitely need someone who is capable of coaching an individual, made the point before about Grealish at Villa and Grealish under Pep, started off slow but flying now.

Considering our season, the games against Real were pretty good tbh. We were pretty even on the field against, and lets not forget that, the reigning Champion and serial winner Real Madrid.

The difference between these 2 can be seen on the xG stat below - efficiency. We have no goal threat, we dont convert our chances, whereas Real ofc is the best team of all time concerning this aspect.

Everything had to work to perfection yesterday, goals + clean sheet.
We beat them 2-0 two years ago but it would n't matter if it was 2-1.
This time a miracle was needed and it seldom happens.
But the problem is always the same: No productivity.
We seem to have only one move: James from the right wing and very little else.

Not sure why you kept banging on about beating them 2 years ago in the thread for the first & second legs just played.

Totally different team now - no Jorginho, Rudiger, Werner etc. Totally different manager.

Those games were never relevant at all.

Not quite dissimilar teams, Real certainly not.
Dissimilar is Real of 1971.

Our team is different. Madrids also slightly different. No Casemiro, no Ramos, no Marcelo and then Alaba & Tchouameni new

I know Chelsea is different ...
But the system in Madrid was wrong and Real are not a team you can really keep at bay by parking the bus.
