He is getting results out of a barebones Roma squad that plays twice a week. Potter can't even win a game with £600m. You have just lost all credibility with one post. Spend massive on Youth talent then bring in the youth grim reaper, take a bow lad!! What an idea. You're very quick to point out accusations but have yet to back up your point with ONE piece of evidence. Just one stat or source that says Potter is the manager for us. All you do is respond with sarcasm and plain rudeness but there is no substance to your argument so unfortunately you are the one with no credibility. Vegetable 830
All I can hope for if for the board to exhibit similar level of passion and heat when assessing this matter as this thread here 😆

And the evidence is right there in this picture that was supposed to mock Potter: As you can see there, and as I mentioned a few days ago, it shows that our decline began under Tuchel, which was a heavy decline. The decline rate has basically been the same since Potter took over. So yes, Potter struggled hard to stop that decline that Tuchel started, BUT, as you can also see in the graph, we seem to have reached a kind of turning point recently, with xG FOR going up again by quite some margin and xG AIGAINST coming down quite a bit. So in my opinion, we should wait and see till the end of the season if this is just a coincidence, or if its maybe really a trend of improvement that will keep going over the next few games. So my suggestion is to watch this statistic till the end of the season and assess it. Bc IF this is the start of a turning point that keeps on going, it would be harmful to change manager and throw everything all over again in the middle of the season. Blue Armour 4,448
Do we REALLY want every decision to be correct?': Graham Potter claims it would be 'BORING' if there were no human errors in football as the Chelsea boss defends VAR referees... admitting he prefers a system where 'whatever mistake happens, happens' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11763501/Chelsea-boss-Graham-Potter-claims-boring-decision-correct-football.html While I understand where he's coming from, and also agree that ranting about referees won't change VAR decisions, I dont see how his refreshing take will be seen by the players. Especially when players, especially winning players, are the first to get infuriated by on field decisions. Didier Drogba, anyone? I want Potter to succeed, but these kind of oddball comments might not serve him well. It would be better for him to not say anything at all. Maybe he is trying to instill a different kind of culture. Hopefully it only serves him well. Vegetable

Would be fine and refreshing, if only he wasn't speaking as a manager of the club that's traditionally shafted on every occasion by refs and even freaking government like no other. I can understand that the new board may want to change it, but it's like with school bullies - being silent or playing it down won't necessarily make things better… But it needs owner being vocal either publicly or not about it as well. Imagine a player gets wrongfully red carded. Is he going to tell then to 'chin up & move on?'. Hopefully he's got it right and it works well. Blue Armour 4,448
Graham Potter defends goal-shy Chelsea's failure to sign a proven hitman as embattled boss points out buying a big-money striker like Romelu Lukaku 'didn't fix the problem' previously at Stamford Bridge https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11764595/Graham-Potter-defends-Chelseas-failure-sign-proven-goalscorer.html This on the other hand, is exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear from Potter. Our tactics and need for a no.9 He has rightly pointed out that City won the league without a recognized no.9 . So did we in the CL 2021. All fair points. dimmas

Look at that period 15-7 before he was sacked. Expected goals conceded rising consistently, and a massive jump from 0-7 just before. Same with the expected goals for, just a nosedive. Based on the chart, the bleeding has been stopped now - with a healthier and fuller squad. And a sharp rise recently for Potter. Lets see how we play moving forward. I mean he was here for 18 months. Where as Sarri one season. Di Matteo 9 months and Grant also was in charge for 9 months. You’ll pick holes in his win ratio yet for months you’ve been coming up with every excuse under the sun for somebody who has the second worst win rate in the clubs history after 24 games. Embarrassing really. I mean Potter could be here for 5 seasons and wont achieve what Tuchel did in 18 months.
