Havertz, Mount, Gallagher should be ashamed of themselves. Next week Potter will have Felix back and should be able to field a more presentable midfield 3. If he can't get us going after that, that's probably it for him. DDA

I'm also not too thrilled about him either. There's also a question about how he'll handle our youth players. Youth players are always the ones who suffer when there's a manager merry go-round. That's the main reason why I still want Potter to somehow turn it around., even if it seems beyond him at this point. You can only hope that Potter is being assertive with the squad behind the scenes, because he looks like a timid rabbit otherwise.

I mean he had Spain playing pretty decent footy but their lack of experience is what let them down.

I watched 2 of their games and thought they created some good footy at times... their squad wasn't very strong tbf. Then again he did choose the squad so that was down to him I guess. Have to disagree, their squad definitely wasn't a weak one. Their starting 11 was also pretty good most games, consisted of players such as Unai Simon, Rodri, Laporte, Busquets, Gavi, Pedri, Asensio, Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo. For their starting 11 and squad, the standard of football barring against Costa Rica who were shocking was piss poor. No penetration. Played a poor Germany team and Japan, weren't convincing at all. Even against Morocco, again poor and boring to watch sideways and backwards a lot. Played nothing like his Barca team who won the treble, now they were incredible to watch. He won’t come to the PL anyway I’d imagine. Edited February 6, 2023 by OneMoSalah

This helps us because the owners won't back him for 3 years if he is obviously out of his depth. Once the squad can gel under someone else we will look much better. 2. The rebuild. We look so much better. Even though I think we have a couple of donkey buys that we will be stuck with for 8 years, we actually addressed some issues similar to that year with mourinho when we bought fabregas and Costa in the same window. We got Enzo and Badashile who had an instant impact on our team. 3. Everyone else is having problems. City might get relegated. Arsenal might choke the league. Liverpool are a joke. Klopp and pep might leave. Next season looks good for us. We can only get better than this. We just need a competent manager and a few key signings over the next couple of windows. Unless TB and co are super discreet, It seems that Potter is good at reciting the "vision and collective" spiel to them, so they may be gassed anyway. Boehly made some bold claims with this appointment and it's sorta kinda his reputation and credibility of "the process" at stake here, what make things way more difficult to navigate. So we will be back to 15 years ago when it was us and ManUre up there. Its amazing what Ten Hag has achieved in half a season though. If he had our squad he could do wonders. Theirs has a lot of donkeys like Maguire and McFred. Scary to imagine how they'll look when his rebuild is complete. We need to get a top class manager ASAP to be able to implement his style with the last few signings. But Boehly and Eghbali have also shown a ruthless streak in changing something if its not working. They sacked Tuchel, Cech and Marina. They sacked the doctors. Even when its their mistake, they discarded Auba and KK will be soon. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of underperforming players are sold in summer. I don't think they will give Potter 3 years just because he is a yes man. Potter is responsible for the results on the field. If Boehly is falling asleep at a 0-0 derby with Fulham, something is wrong. Fernando
Special Juan 28,140
Potter will be getting scrutinized don't worry about that- These bad results and performance aren't just kicked under the carpet, if we don't get 3 points at WHU on Saturday I reckon we could really see things happening, project or no project. James, kova , chilwell back is when I'll judge him properly, that's my own opinion before any one jumps down my throat! But if he can't do it with a proper midfield and the new signings I will be on the potter out bus aswell. He's stopped the goals going in, now he needs to start to work on attacking.
