Graham Potter Thread

There is also some kind of dignity in play - hence Guardiola is openly cuting off his ties with owner's shady moves. If he bails out now (he said he is leaving "the next day" if he is being lied to) I could theoretically see him taking us over in the summer, but also think it would rather be Real or PSG.

BTW

Fun times. We have trouble to point potential replacement for Potter now and in the summer, it could be us, Pool, City, PSG and Real looking for a manager at once, huh

I highly doubt he would ever manage Real, due to his Barca ties

PSG I could deffo see (especially with Messi and Mbappe there)

or the Spanish National Team

cannot see him ever at Manure or Pool due to Citeh ties (unless he is so angry at Citeh he goes for pure revenge, and even then, those clubs need to be sold as the current owners are too cheap for Pep, especially Pool)

Chels? well unless the Kuwaitis buy Arse or Spuds (omg, nightmare of nightmares, especially if they bought Spuds), we are just about the only other team with deep enough pockets for him atm

The big 3 in Italy (AC, Inter, Juve) are priced out his spending habits

I doubt he would go back to Bayern, but who knows, maybe

so, in order

I would guess

1. PSG (I think they someday have both Pepe and ZZ, at different times of course,, down the road)

2. Spanish National Team

3. Bayern redux

OK so who is up for the job?

Enrique - Would he take it?
Poch - Would he take it with his ties to spurs?
Zidane - 99% wouldnt take the job

Who else?

Mark Robinson until summer and then deal with what's available. It won't get much worse and what is happening now is making us the laughing stock, killing the player's morale, not to mention large chunk of fans.

Surely if he is going it is now, immediately after the game. Before I was thinking there was no point to sack him until closer to summer and let a new manager come in with a full preseason and get transfer business done early, but we've improved the squad a lot and having a good manager to work with them for the rest of the year would make a lot of sense as it can inform our summer business and will give them way more time to get the team in shape

Idk.. the gut feeling tells me that Enrique is the one. He would glue the team together and make us play progressive attacking football.
His teams always create alot of chances so we would actually score a couple even if we miss 90% of them.

He is also a demander so the players would not be able to NOT turn up otherwise they will be put outside the team.

And he would NOT play the damaged goods like Gallagher, Ziyech etc but rather young techniqal skilled players.

Just now, TheHulk said:

This guy is a laughing stock, his next job after Chelsea will be a championship side no way anyone from the Premier would entertain this useless guy.

I wouldn't go that far - he is obviously a manager that belongs in the top leagues around the world. He is just not someone you hire to win trophies with or you can see building a dynasty. He is a bit of a pussy, imo.
