The players we've signed all said he was a huge factor, if Haland already admires lamps, I don't see how it wouldn't be a factor but agree to disagree I guess.

I am however very happy that roman seems to be much more ambitious than you are when it comes to going for top generational talents lol

Good for you ... whatever makes you happy!!!

Could care less who said it. This could be all just empty talk for all we know.

Furthermore, if Werner is Lampard's long term plan to be our #1 striker, then I don't see how it makes sense to get Haaland into the side. Neither is going to be happy to sit on the bench and even if we move Werner out wide, it will solve one problem and create another when we have a number wide attacking options as well as tons of midfield options. And constant chopping and changing the team isn't going to help anyone.

As I said, let's see how Lampard develops the team this season before before we start thinking far ahead into next summer's transfer targets.

the club is already thinking about next summer for sure, we apparently started thinking about/discussing with havertz more than a year before signing him, don't see the harm in discussing rumors from trustworthy sources, even if they relate all the way to next summer, especially in the "chelsea tranfer pub" forum...

as to romano, you mentioned the rumors being based on a haland quote and I corrected you and brought up that the trustworthy romano has talked about it. You may not care what he says but he is usually spot on and doesn't often peddle BS stories like some others do so when he says something like this, it has some weight to it for many (myself included).

I'm sure there are plenty of ways of fitting Haland and werner into the same line-up, be it 442, werner on the wing, occasional 433 or 4231 with rotation... Again not saying it's gonna happen that we sign haland, just find it funny when people (not you necessarily) dismiss this out of hand as something that won't/can't happen...

Romano may be reliable but I don't see what's the point of talking so much about Haaland right now when (a) any potential transfer move for him is like 9-10 months away (b) only Romano himself has said this. If more sources start saying the same thing, then I'll be more than happy to join the conversation. Otherwise I don't see what's the point of talking about something that just came off from one person. And we will buy players next summer for sure but if you want to talk about Haaland, go ahead. I am just more interested to see how Lampard develops this team first before worrying about who we will buy next summer.

fair enough, personally I'm interested in both our future plans and how we play and develop as a team now but to each his own.

To me, Haland would be our best signing in the history of the club if we were to complete it so naturally this possibility excites me but I understand that not everyone shares these feelings :)

Think Haaland will end up at Man City. They definitely need a new top striker with Agüero turning 33 next year.

Man City are also his dad's former club if that means anything.

Romano: "Chelsea are among the most interested in Donnarumma. They made an approach this summer, but decided to sign Mendy for a cheaper price. They still remain interested in Donnarumma as his contract expires next summer and could sign him for free."

We have only around 24h left to move JCS, Drinkwater, Baba, Sterling to Championship.

Also Maatsen got his loan move, what about Anjorin?

Musonda and Mbuyamba are in rehab still.

Moses to Russia also two days left.
