That's where he played a lot of games for Charlton.

Given Havertz impending arrival and Mount being well established that's probably his best shot of breaking into our lineup so may work out if Roy does play him there.

I agree, from what I've seen he has the discipline and all round game to be able to play in a deeper role and moving forward this may end up being the best opportunity for him to break through here.

Maignan sure would be the better deal. Younger and better handling. Also not African. But he would be a risk as well. Mendy suits our play style slightly better with his aerial prowess and slightly better passing. We will get a capable goalie either way I think

We were never going to sell Kante under any circumstances I don't think. It is weird how we've hear nothing about Jorginho's situation since Sarri was sacked. Surely he'd be of interest to many clubs but I guess nobody can afford him in this climate. He's too good a player to be back riding our bench.

Maybe frank has a plan for him, if he was a little more Unsafe with his passes he could be lethal, he just passes safe alot

Guys it is all making sense what Lampard is trying to accomplish. The signing of Ben Chilwell makes so much sense if you analyze what Havertz biggest strength is; late runs into the box to break down defenses. Now lets analyze how Chilwell likes to attack in the box. Underlapping with the wingers. Chilwell rarely overlaps, he always underlaps. This means the run into the box by Chilwell will be perfect timing to pass into Havertz late run. The interchange is brilliant to be honest on that left side.

Think it's a mistake not to sell Kante, I don't see anything different this season for him even if he stays fit, he doesn't seem to fit Lampard style. I don't think Frank is sincere when he talks about Kante, I think he knows his quality but also knows his passing is very limited for what Lampard wants us to achieve. I feel the midfield will be our downfall this season, especially when you look at the fact Lampard doesn't want to play Kante in his best position, so his purpose in this team is limited. If he wants to play him more advanced might as well sell him and get Zakaria or Aouar who are excellent for what he wants us to play.
