Seems like Rodrygo is the one they were making space for

I wouldn't mind that honestly

Me neither! It's so much fun when the Prem is full of the best players!

I honestly don't get why Guardiola opted to get rid of players like Mahrez, Palmer and fill up the squad with running machines like Savinho and Doku.

🚨 BREAKING:

Chelsea & Manchester United have inquired about Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The two clubs have expressed interest in recent days, but at the moment there aren’t any concrete discussions, as no formal talks have begun.

👀The Premier League is the most likely destination for Gigio Donnarumma.

RB Leipzig are interested in Nkunku returning but not in a permanent deal, and they are also not planning a swap deal involving Xavi Simons. They would only consider a loan. Even then, there would need to be a special arrangement regarding wage coverage.

We backed out of the Maignan deal because Milan wanted 25m, right? Donnarumma will cost more than that I would think and his wage demands will be much higher than Maignan’s.

Don’t take the piss.

If Premier League is the likely destination for Donnarumma, I think he's ending up at United.

Can't see Chelsea disrupting the wage structure and can't see Donnarumma agreeing an 8 year £120k contract

Yeah. I remember there was a report a year or so ago about how this new ownership would break the wage structure under special circumstances but for a goalkeeper? Nah, I don’t see it. Especially because we constantly get media briefs about how much Maresca and the club love Sanchez.

Also, we like our keeper to play with his feet which is a weakness of Donnarumma. He doesn’t seem like a stylistic fit. You could say that a keepers #1 duty is to stop the ball going into the net which is true, but is Donnarumma that much better as a pure shot stopper than Sanchez? Shot stopping has never been Sanchez’s problem. It’s the terrible decision making.

It is insane how things have fallen for Man United this summer. Sesko was left without a top club and now Donnarumma is being pushed out and has limited options

All the elite clubs have top GKs - Barca, Man City and Liverpool have 2 frontline GKs at that. It is a year too early for a GK change at Bayern and Real where Neuer and Courtois are getting old

We did explore a cheap deal for Maignan so we are not totally against the idea of a keeper joining.

But I can see Donnarumma throwing up red flags for our data-heavy directors. He does have weaknesses playing out and collecting crosses into the box. Not to mention the wages.

That was prior to his CWC "heroics". There's no doubt his stock has risen within the club.

Like @Strikementioned, United are basically falling ass first into a crazy good summer window. And tbh it’s not at all because of shrewd operating or masterful planning. It’s seriously just falling into their laps.

All of their top targets they’ve essentially got a free run at. No other big 6 clubs competed with them for any of Cunha, Mbeumo, or Sesko. Donnarumma has extremely limited options and will fall into their laps.
