For straight sell this summer anything over 40m for NJ would be a brucie bonus.

failing that,a loan to a german club where he would basically play against similar defenses than he did against Spurs the last 2 seasons for 90% of the games. Killing it and raising his transfer fee whilst not really improving.

We sent Mount to United coming off of a poor season and with only a year left in his contract for £55m. If they come in for Jackson who, despite being super frustrating, has proven that he can score goals in a top league then we shouldn’t sell for a pound less than £70m. His upside and potential is WAY higher than Madueke’s who will go for £52m.

Unless we go out and make a marquee statement attacking signing before the window closes I’m coming around to keeping Jackson. I was all for selling him before but having thought about it I’d keep him unless we get 70m+.

Imagine an unlucky scenario where in match week 3 or something one of João Pedro or Delap snap an ankle and are out for months and we had sold Jackson. We’d be right back in the situation we found ourselves in last season where we had only 1 senior striker.

agree

these are the main remotely (some are almost impossible) available CLEAR upgrades over Nico atm

and most all are insanely expensive and/or will not move this window (or are on the verge of moving)

Alexander Isak
Julian Alvarez
Lautaro Martinez

Viktor Gyökeres
Victor Osimhen

Hugo Ekitiké
Benjamin Šeško

maybe Samu Aghehowa

ones that are NOT available that are CLEAR upgrades

Erling Haaland
Kylian Mbappé (if you count him as a CF)
Omar Marmoush
Harry Kane

and maybe

Jonathan David
Gonçalo Ramos

wild card (short term, due to his age)

Robert Lewandowski

Don't worry, we seem to love collecting high level youngsters, that Jackson money will go straight to the Ekitike transfer 😆

I thought Leipzig wanted crazy money for him, that's why Arsenal decided to prioritise Viktor

I said most all listed were crazy expensive:

Never in a million years is anyone going to pay that amount for Jackson,  half that amount is more probable.

This is a coup for Newcastle. They’re planning for life after Isak

Let's see how he performs in the premier league, we've already seen that Bundesliga goals don't always translate to prolific at PL level (Werner, Nkunku).

So jackson may be moving on? I would probably guess at isak is on the move simply because Newcastle seem to be after etikite? Wow imagine isak in our front three....

Doubt we would be the club that is serious about signing Isak. Liverpool and Arsenal will be interested

We can't be blind sided by Sanchez's performance last night, we still MUST go for a keeper, it's huge we do so

I agree. He is never gonna be the right guy if we want to play with our GK in buildup with lots of passes around our box comfortably.

He would be a perfect PL backup and cup keeper if he would be content with that.

His long game is finally looking good though because pedro and delap actually recieve it long, unlike jackie

I just don’t see us shipping Sanchez away at this point. Like I’ve been saying since the Maignan ordeal, I think once that move didn’t happen the club have ceased attempts to get a new keeper this window. They figured Maignan for dirt cheap was too good to pass up and saw a crazy “market opportunity” as the saying goes. Once Milan played hardball we walked away.

Sanchez will have until January to again show he should stay.

So the club should now be prioritizing Cucu cover and getting Rodrygo/Fofana to complete our team. One last statement signing that will tell everyone after that CWC title that we are genuine PL contenders.
