Pizy 18,996
Just watched a YouTube comp of Woltemade. I actually came away more impressed with his game than Ekitike. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ They’re both tall and lanky as hell but Woltemade looks much more robust and can hold up the ball excellently. Thing is, from his POV it doesn’t seem very wise to agree to come here when we have Jackson & Delap. At his age it would be a huge risk to go from playing every week to getting the odd chance in the League Cup or as a sub here. I’d take him, though, since it’s clear we aren’t going for a Gyokeres or Osimhen.
The Skipper 20,609
Watched some more Gittens tapes, he's actually a very interesting prospect. I think he's probably a year or two away from blowing up. Vesper and mkh

I think Ekitike is far far better than Woltemade tbh, like his ceiling is way higher. Much better technical base, much better locomotion, one of those wing forward like strikers, a lot like Isak. Woltemade reminds me of a slightly more technical Weghorst/Fullkrug. I don't think he scales up too well in the PL personally. mkh, Vesper and Blue Armour

He will probably be one like Doue and Barcola… who ends up going elsewhere and we curse at the World for missing out on him. The money they have quoted him at is too high though. Ekitike looks like he has the higher ceiling for sure from a raw, natural talent POV. But I just wonder how he’d hold up to the rigors of the PL. A lot of the negatives I’ve read about Ekitike when this monster price is being discussed is that he is physically weak and gets bullied in Germany. If that’s the case, how’s he going to hold up against teams who love to get physical and thuggish like Burnley or Everton? Whereas Woltemade looks technically good for a huge guy whilst also having the strength and muscle to bully people himself. He looks less risky than Ekitike to my eye because he’d cost a fraction. When you’re spending €100m on a player you need a virtual guarantee that he’s a superstar. I don’t personally see that with Ekitike.

Lot of his highlights are in tight areas. I hope I am wrong if we do splash the cash for Woltman

However, I get the feeling Spurs/Arsenal may get him before us. Edited June 14 by Reddish-Blue more info

Lanky somewhat slow and lightweight technical striker from stuttgart moving to the PL after decent breakout season. And we know how that one turned out. Saying we bought bad players is one thing but saying we should buy first team players instead of buying players to loan is crazy, they bought a whole new first team…. yeah but almost young and not completed players
