If he wanted Maignan and the only intended to go to £12.5m, would it have really been a big deal to go to £20m? For literal kids aged 17 or 18 they’re willing to pay whatever is necessary even if that’s £40m+ yet for one the premier keepers who is also a leader in the squad which we badly need, we blow up the deal that would’ve been cheaper than what we paid for Sanchez.
