Thor 2,720
Sesko looks meh. Duran and others available for a lot less and look far more PL ready and just as skilled. mkh

Even Raya should be worth 30+ million right now with the way he is playing. Donnarumma is wasting his career at PSG, he should be at one of the top clubs competing for UCL titles etc.

Pizy 18,952
Tbh, with the way we’ve looked so far and the chances we create at will from our attacking mids I think any solid striker would score quite a few. And we have t even seen close to full form from any of Sancho, Neto, or Felix yet. They’re all still finding their feet. Think Sesko would thrive here tbf. Whether I’d pay massive money for him is another question. I’d say no. bigbluewillie and mkh
mkh 601
Simon Philips reports The recruitment team really like Brazilian centre back from Nottingham Forest, Murillo , and they enquired about signing him in the summer just gone. However, at that point the price quoted was just far too much and the interest was shelved for now. Chelsea look to go back in for him in one of the next two windows, because he is high on our centre back shortlist. Fernando

Thor 2,720
Our front 3/4 are better than anything we had even in the 2021 UCL run. It’s everything behind that needs time to gel and come together. Our FBs are not as good but certainly good enough. I think the CB depth needs help but aside from that - we should be good. Along with letting the midfield mature and grow. It’s everything behind that needs time to gel and come together. Our FBs are not as good but certainly good enough. I think the CB depth needs help but aside from that - we should be good. Along with letting the midfield mature and grow. All of our attacking players apart from mudryk are on an insane technical level and all of them have decent pace. While I would say we had overall better starting front 3/4 before (think Drogba,Lampard, Robben + Ballack/sheva/jcole) I am not sure we ever had such great depth in terms of wingers and AMs. Mazacar+KDB,Salah comes close on paper but they weren’t all in their prime yet. football has evolved. Most of our previous great teams played more vertical or with more crosses and long shots, so central players were key. All of our PL winning teams had dominant midfields. We see this a lot less today with the focus on exploiting space in the channels, getting in behind and quick interplay in front of the box. Also there is a clear slow but steady upwards trend in goals scored (last PL season and last WC again set new records) . I think this is bc of both evolution of tactics but also mentality and quality of players. Defenders and goalkeepers are a lot worse at actual defending and shot stopping nowadays but are asked to take more risks as well. central/defensive and CFs are asked to do more donkey work and less attacking but also need more tactical awareness. Wingers/Ams and fullbacks are asked a lot more offensively but also enjoy more freedom. our current team fits modern football perfectly. They need this last bit of quality, maturity, grit and champions mentality to become really great.
