If we are serious about his development (or upping his value), then loaning to Brazil makes no sense.

Couldn't agree more.

Flamengo actually has the best striker in teh country, Pedro, who flopped in Europe (Fiorentina), but is still better than what the other sides have there. He is recovering from a hammy, but should be back soon. So, it's likely Deivid wouldn't be starting too many matches.

If we were that serious about his development, he would have been loaned out much earlier in the transfer window, especially considering he spent last season doing nothing in the reserves and then making up the numbers on the bench.

Al Nassr seemingly have a taste for Brazilian youngsters. They want some company for Wesley.

At least we have someone to drop a few should they not turn out to be much (quite likely).

We tried offloading him to Strasbourg, it's pretty clear how much they give a fuck about his development. Hope Al Nassr comes for him as well.

In one sense, the business model is good as ideally that's what you want to see, if the player doesn't fit or develop, flip them or sell them off. 

The only issue with the Clearlake approach is that they hoarded too many players in consecutive transfer windows.  Just look at the LW situation, you got Mudryk, Neto, Sancho, Sterling, Carney, even Felix all being paid from Chelsea's books this season. 

If we had a clearer plan, maybe Mudryk, Carney and a few others would be playing regularly elsewhere.

Neto and Felix are not true LWers, and Carney is an AMF/CMF, never a winger
