With 0 equivalent player in place. When this falls through, you go for a Gyokeres, not Toney, otherwise why aim so high with such wide pockets in the first place. Lack of planning even still. Taking the Saudi money out of it, which essentially is causing all the problems. As a general rule, I have zero problem with performance based contracts that we've moved to, total sense, love it. Not sure what it is now that Rom is gone but our average salary went from £200k to £60k. We all made mistakes and bad decisions in our daily lives, I do back what Clearlake are doing, we as Chelsea fans are just so spoilt and used to win now, not later, now. It's a shame don't get me wrong, those years, that spine of players we had were just purely incredible to me, but that's not today's footballer, either.

I do believe we return to champions league football, I do believe we'll make more mistakes and I do believe that we'll make catastrophic ones, however I do believe in the model, including the financial one, and I can confidently say I thought "sorry what?" The Sterling/Sancho thing has gone awfully quiet. As has all talk about realistic moves for Broja or Chilly.

The idea that such “big” players will just rot in the reserves until January sounds utterly disastrous to me. If other clubs aren’t moving for them now when we’re desperate to get rid of them who is going to want them a few months from now when they’ve been sitting around not playing any football?

The fact Chelsea is taking part of something that seems to be a bidding war with Saudi club is mind boggling for me. This is totally no contest situation, you either chose to play football or be a jester on a stick for a retirement fund.

What is next? Trying to snatch moves to MLS and Brazil's 2nd division? Especially worrying that ClearlakeBluecowhatever seems to get bit too fixated on those moves and forget the reality around and the reality around is that Napoli wants to get rid of this fella, so why even do all this dancing around? Put an offer on the table, take it or leave it, they have no other real choice anyway (and that should be alarming on its own)
