So what's stopping us from registering Lavia for the academy, send him on loan for a year and after promote him to first team?

Nothing in theory but why would Lavia accept this when he could play first team football with Liverpool? Its just another little loophole that Boehly is exploiting, just like the one with the long contracts. If u do it too often and too obvious, its gonna be closed. And the player has to accept this.

On the other hand, when Poch decides to keep that guy in the squad for next season, ofc the fee counts on FFP.

can anyone give me a resume why our club spend so much money in youngster and not in our primary squad?

Is it even that much? Santos is primary squad, Angelo almost. Who else is there this summer?

We already spent 130m on first team additions for this year on Nkunku, Jackson, Gusto, with Caicedo almost 220m. Only bc some deals were agreed earlier doesnt make them for free^^

If I understand what you are guys talking about what we are doing is so blatantly against spirit of FFP, that I can smell the incoming transfer ban already 😂

Well it sticks to the rules 😇

Just like the long contract thing to spread transfer fee - maybe UEFA will close that loophole as well soon. Ig the moaning from the likes of Neville and Carragher will start when we sell these kids for double the money. "THEY CHEAT WITH FFP ---- AGAIN----!!111 *cry* *cry* *cry*

Regarding the FFP calculation. The exemption from FFP is both under 21 and how many first team starts they have made for a top level team. The frustrating point for us casual fans is that we don’t know how many starts that is and the team tier system UEFA is using as they do not publish their FFP rules online.

Youngers bought in the last year:

  • Ugo: £23.5m
  • Chukwu: £15m
  • Angelo £13m
  • Casadei: £13m
  • Santos: £11m
  • Fofana: £10m
  • Slonina: £8m
  • Moreira: £0m

That makes £93,5m for 8 players - an average of £11,7m per player.

I bet my 2 balls that all of them will be worth more than that in 1 or 2 years. Some even significantly more than that. This is an investment in the future of this club, we will benefit from that either way: either these players have the quality to strenghten our squad (and most look like they could) or we sell them with some profit.

Especially Angelo, Casadei and Santos will be seen as some of the smartest moves of the last 10 years.

Have I missed some Brazilians that we signed?? Bc I always hear people here talking about signing so many Brazilian youngsters but we only signed 2?
