Mhsc 1,109
Dunno what personal terms needed to be agreed, probably they're covering his wages and...you know..that's it. Guess it REALLY means that he is up for the move, and so are they. Phenomenal work by the directors to clear out the dross. So then Cucu goes to their bench and is right back into the same situation he’s in here. With as injury prone as Chilly is you’d think Cucu would fancy his chances of getting more minutes for Chelsea than for United. But perhaps Poch has told him in no uncertain terms that even Maatsen is ahead of him now? Club was up for loaning him tells him all he needs to know. Tbh I'm not that familiar with Man Utd's current needs but "on paper" Cucurella can cover LB, LCB, and DM. He's a utility player. They might get use out of him over a season but it is a pretty desperate signing, can't imagine what Utd fans are thinking lmao. A lot of them are in meltdown because they know he’s shit and saying we have scammed them again after Mount. And then there’s a bunch of them like Mark Goldbridge who are rationalizing with themselves like some of us were. “Maybe we’ll get the Brighton Cucu from 2 years ago!”

This old school model of letting managers spend money is totally insane honestly, given the sums involved. Shame it took us so long to come around to it. Vesper 30,272
Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea have a ten-name list of players they may sign this week https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/fabrizio-romano-says-Chelsea-have-a-ten-name-list-of-players-they-may-sign-this-week/ Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea now have a long list of players they are still considering signing this summer. He said on his Daily Briefing that the Blues still have as many as ten players on the list of attacking midfielders they are looking at in the final few days of the transfer window. In his press conference today, Mauricio Pochettino hinted that he would be satisfied if the club did not bring in another signing this summer. They have been extremely active again, completing additions such as Moises Caicedo, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson. This has come at the expense of a number of last season’s key first team players. Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Kalidou Koulibaly have all moved on as the clear out has been in full force. It has been claimed that the one player that Chelsea are looking to bring in is an attacking midfielder, who has the ability to be versatile and play along the frontline. Chelsea have ten-man list One of the names who has been reported frequently in the last 24 hours is Emile Smith Rowe, who is apparently surplus to requirements at the Emirates. Romano has now claimed though that he is not the only figure they are considering, and as many as ten are in the shortlist ahead of what is set to be a mad last few days of the transfer window. He said: “Chelsea have 10 names on their list for the end of the transfer window.” This rush has come after the expected deal for Michael Olise from Crystal Palace fell through, despite them triggering his release clause. The saga actually ended with the Frenchman signing a new contract to remain at Selhurst Park. Edited August 29, 2023 by Vesper

Vesper 30,272
toss shit against the wall and see if it sticks............... Barcelona whiz kid ready to listen to offers, Chelsea, Tottenham among options https://barcauniversal.com/barcelona-whizkid-ready-to-listen-to-offers-Chelsea-tottenham-among-options-report/ In a major development, Sergi Sole of Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona whizkid Ansu Fati is now open to listen to offers to leave the club this summer. The 20-year-old La Masia graduate has been deprived of regular minutes under Xavi Hernandez since the last season and his situation has not improved in the new campaign. Despite that, the forward had always maintained that he would remain at Barcelona and turn things around. However, it now appears that he has changed his mind is willing to listen to offers, having thought about the situation and discussed the matter with his family and agent, Jorge Mendes. Chelsea, Spurs are among the clubs keen With Ansu open to an exit, there appears to be no shortage of suitors for the Spanish international at the moment. Indeed, the report claims that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Borussia Dortmund are concrete options for the 20-year-old attacking prodigy. Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of Fati’s talents and even though the youngster would not play Champions League football, he could have a prominent role at Stamford Bridge. As for Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund, both clubs are known to trust and back young talents, which could tempt Ansu, who is seeking regular minutes. Over the next couple of days, Mendes will compile all the offers that he has for the Spaniard and present them so that the youngster can make a decision. Ansu out, Joao in? The report adds that Ansu’s departure this summer will most likely be on a loan deal, with the club not prepared to lose total control of the youngster. At the same time though, his potential departure should open the doors for Joao Felix to arrive at Barcelona. The 23-year-old Portuguese international has made it clear that he wants to join the Catalans, and Mendes as well as club president Joan Laporta are working hard to make it happen. Atletico Madrid are unlikely to stand in the way of a loan exit as long as his full salary is covered, which the Blaugrana would be open to do once Fati has left. So, there could be some movement in the attacking department at Barcelona before the transfer window closes.
Vesper 30,272
Chelsea star undergoing medical ahead of reunion with former manager https://www.shoot.co.uk/Chelsea-star-undergoing-medical-ahead-of-reunion-with-former-manager/ Chelsea will be hoping to build on their first win of the season by beating AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. A brace from Raheem Sterling and a late goal from Nicolas Jackson earned the Blues a 3-0 win over Luton Town on Friday, marking Mauricio Pochettino’s first win as the club’s manager. The game against the Dons presents Pochettino with the opportunity to rotate his squad, and the likes of Mason Burstow and Mykhaylo Mudryk could be given an opportunity to impress. One player that won’t be involved, though, is Trevoh Chalobah, as the defender looks set to complete a move away from the club. According to Football Insider, the centre-back is undergoing a medical ahead of completing a move to Bayern Munich. The report claims that the Englishman is set to join the German club on an initial loan that will also include an option-to-buy clause. 🤬 Chalobah, 24, is a product of the Blues’ youth academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2018. He was given his first proper first team opportunity in 2021 by then-manager Thomas Tuchel, who is now in charge of Bayern, and it appears that the duo could now be set for a reunion. The Englishman featured regularly for the Blues throughout each of the past two seasons and has made 63 appearances for the club across all competitions, but he is yet to feature so far this term. He has fallen behind the likes of Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and now looks set to join the Bundesliga champions for the remainder of the current campaign and possibly even longer. Chalobah signed a new contract with Chelsea as recently as November last year, committing his future to Stamford Bridge until 2028, but it appears that he is now on his way out of the club. lluubbeenn 183
If we loan both Lukaku and Chalobah Washington has to stay with us or go on loan in the championship. I guess he won’t be too happy, if all the reports about Strasbourg were true.
