Where’s Gary Neville’s response? Man must be fuming. Next he will be on us about the multi club model for sure.

G.Neville and Jamie Carragher need to wind their necks in. Their egos are out of control.

I wonder what move Rice will want to do. City obviously are the better team and competing for titles but he doesn't walk in their team. Arsenal, he stays in London and walks in their team. City's team is also ageing in certain aspects so he may see himself as a long term fit. Interesting one.

Move to Manchester to be with best friend.

One bad season is not a mess.

Nah, I don't even mean sole results. Constant problems with recruitment, lack of leadership, no clear direction and uncertainty since Roman was banned, the transfer ban, subpar staff during Lampard's stint, the injuries back then and during Potter's regime, now Clearlake trying to get a grip, issues with FFP, issues with sponsors. Getting it in order will take time, maybe prime years of some players. First season was bad, I give people right to judge whether they trust owner's idea to make it right during second one, apparently Mount wasn't into it, especially that Chelsea never had been an individual stardom kind of team and MM may want to be hero, so this particular departure I'm least surprised with, actually.

Depends on what's happening behind the scenes. Under Abramovich we've had a couple of really bad seasons

But star players never left in droves like this.

Fans are laughing now because it's Kai & Mount, and not Drogba or Hazard.

But the fact that the likes of Drogba and Hazard stuck with us through tough times, and players are jumping ship here at first sight, speaks a lot about the club and its current state of affairs.

Honestly the first window was a mess, Todd should bear the brunt of that. Then they tried to appease Tuchel. He is showing at Bayern that his desired picks are almost always players that will not improve the club. Followed by Potter. That truly was a mess. I think since the appointing of the new directors of football operations and recruitment and stepping away to let them handle transfers and Poch coming in, we are turning that corner. Perhaps all the mess and the stalking had an effect on Mase? Shipping out Havertz for the price we received was nothing short of brilliant. He is absolutely surplus with Nkunku coming in.

Literally one of the last acts of the Roman reign was failing to convince two key defenders to stay.
